They may currently be superficially independent but they are not free. They are not the only ones that make their laws, they cannot use their own currency, their court is not supreme and can be overruled by the ecj. And it is the ambition of the eu for ever closer unity that I am talking about, this means that they want the eu to become one country, it is their professed aim to become a European Superstate. Does that sound like independence to you? What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
The very clever people of Scotland, me being one of them, are finally showing Sturgeon what an idiot she is.
Come on Ruth and Theresa show the country how clever we can be on June 8th0 -

Context is everything. SNP are specifically making case for autonomy and independence but then watering this confidence down by tethering this to significantly handing away democracy to Brussels.
This undermines the case.
Have the bottle to be in dependent like Australia or Canada, don't be so timid and small horizoned0 -
Does anyone notice how quiet this thread is now that it is known that Labour has lost control of Glasgow and across the board the Tories seem to be making gains in Scotland?
I wonder why it's so quiet?0 -
A Tory wins in the East End of Glasgow I hear?
Time to pass around the hemlock Shakey?“Britain- A friend to all, beholden to none”. 🇬🇧0 -
It is quiet because the snp are now realising how stupid they are and can't take the backlash
Come on Ruth and Theresa0 -
Shakeys Council:-
North Ayrshire result
Scottish Labour and the SNP have finished tied on 11 seats. That is a loss of 2 seats for Labour and 4 for the SNP from the previous election.
The Conservatives have gained 6 seats in this election to win 7.0 -
Tory candidate 'shocked' at victory in Glasgow's east end
The Scottish Conservatives' first councillor in Shettleston said he was "shocked" to win in the east end of Glasgow, a former Labour stronghold.
Thomas Kerr, 20, put his win down to opposition to another Scottish independence referendum.
He said: "I'm shocked as well, when you stand as a candidate for the Conservatives in the east end of Glasgow you don't expect something like this to happen, but I think people recognised I'm a local voice and will stand up for local issues.
"They wanted to send a message to Nicola Sturgeon that they don't want a second referendum."0 -
It looks as if the working class Tory vote, and the middle class vote, is making a comeback.

Who would ever have thought that, unbelievable turnaround!0 -

AS I say earlier, quiet eh?
The silence is deafening.
I like this from the Daily Record:Political earthquake in South Ayrshire as Tories get all three of their candidates elected in Ayr West ward.
See that; "political earthquake".
I can't wait to see what spin our pro-SNP contingent put on this.0
