If as you say, any furure referendum will be won in the weeks leading up to it, why do you keep posting polls which support your position as they are irrelevant by your logic?
I was refuting the headline spin and injecting a dose of reality. Plus they really annoy you reading them. ;)
Curiously, you also either dismiss or ignore polls which undermine your agenda.
I advise anyone to be cautious in taking one poll, which is clearly showing vastly different results to all others and the previous established trend.. as evidence of anything.

They do make for fab anti-referendum headlines in Tory supporting newspapers though. But then there is an election coming up and the Scottish Tories only policy IS to stop a referendum. If I were to be phased by any poll or repeated polling which put independence support as very low or falling I would've stopped posting in here round about 2012. The polling back then was absolutely terrible for independence. Perhaps you've all just gotten too used to seeing indy polls sitting round about the 43 to 48% mark so that a % point or two down seems like a really big deal to you now. ?

For someone like me who sat for two years seeing polling barely hitting 35% and stubbornly refusing to move until well later on in the game they're not that big a deal and don't really mean much this far out. They'll start changing one way or the other when the real campaigning on both sides starts.
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

They're changing now for Yes, trending downwards as I proved previously. The outliers now appear to be where indy support is "high".

Well see there are some that complain verciferously that we haven't had a chance to debate Indy under Nicola ...and that Brexit which you state is the single biggest issue which the people of Scotland didn't vote for ...

Well surely a new Scottish indy ref allows us to sort this out ?

Put the angry face on and demand it then.

    Oh wait......

No need to get angry . It's happening Holyrood voted for it ... smiling and laughing is more fun though ..and it's what I'm doing, but I imagine there are plenty of unionists gnashing their teeth ... which makes me smile more

That the most delusional poster on here thinks that she can inject a dose of reality is hilarious.

Your posts don't annoy me at all as I only read them for their amusement value. What does annoy me is the incessant whining from the SNP about Westminster which is nothing more than the code word they use to describe the hated English.

I honestly couldn't care less about the Union or events north of Berwick. The Scots can have their independence and I really wish they hadn't bottled it last time. By now we would be seeing what an complete horlicks they were making of the whole thing.

Holyrood has no power to make it happen.

Westminster can secure legitimacy to say no to the Section 30 if the pro-indy parties represent less than 50% of those who vote in the GE. It would be clear that it's not wanted by the electorate at that point. The SNP continuing down that road at this point would signal they are proceeding against the will of the electorate.

Given the polling trend and the jump in support for the Conservatives and the wain in support for the SNP and Greens combined leading to less than 50% cumulatively in polls I wouldn't be smiling and laughing if I were you. It looks set to be a unionist majority popular vote. :T

What about the poor normal people in Scotland? I don't want them to be taken for a ride on the poverty/unemployment train.

Well quite. I have had a little fun here and there pointing this out.

Well indeed, there is certain amount of amusement to be had from perusing Shakey's latest 'cunning plan'. And then shooting it down with a few facts.
