  • You think Scottish fishermen will stand for any SNP BS if they get their fishing grounds back? When Holyrood gets power of fishing if they give it away to EU nations again you'll be out of power in a jiffy. It's no bargaining chip, the fishermen want it back, and if they don't get it you and the SNP are going to know about it. Talk about betrayal.

Scottish fishermen wanted and were sold a Norway style brexit. Who are they going to sell their fish to if not in the Single Market ?

They wanted rid of CFP but to stay in the Single Market. Fair to say May's announcements recently have got them really worried.
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

He linked to the report. Do you speak fluent Spanish yourself ?

    Or maybe you prefer...

    Or this

This is what you always do. Twist and spin the original post and give a reply which answers a point which was never made.

Nicola has claimed that Scotland can automatically take the place of the UK and remain an EU member, or somehow stay in the single market as part of the UK.

The Spanish MEP accurately stated this couldn't happen.

You then reply stating kind words spoken by other EU countries possibly welcoming an independent Scotland as a future EU member. But they didn't say Scotland could automatically take the UK's place nor stay in the single market whilst sill part of the UK.
If I don't reply to your post,
you're probably on my ignore list.
  • You do get a lot of your information from twitter, perhaps you should re-think this strategy?

It's better than the Express and more up to date than BBC News <--Who incidentally also post constant updates.. on Twitter. Well before they hit the tv airwaves. As do Sky, all the leaders of the UK political parties, journalists, commentators, bloggers and event organisers. So no I'll be sticking with Twitter. I prefer my news up to date and without being RIPPED APART and SPUN 12 hours later in the Express or similar.

I claim nothing whatsoever other than there are other MEP's and EU notables out there who don't all agree with Gonzalez re Scotland. You may have missed their comments since they aren't so widely reported for some reason. So I helpfully provided them for you. No need to thank me. ;)

Nicola has implied Scotland could simply continue to be an EU member by simply taking the UK's place. She has also claimed Scotland could stay in the single market after Brexit whilst still part of the UK.

Show me links where any EU politician has said this could happen. :)

Sturgeon has stated her preferred option due to the way Scotland voted ( remain ). If you can provide me with links or direct quotes saying or claiming anything regarding the EU and what she assumes their stance will be then go and find them. But you won't find anything.

Other commentators HAVE been speculating about Scotland taking the UK's place or similar deals being done/holding pens etc. However, as I've pointed out above, a large piece of the Brexit fallout jigsaw is still missing. The EU itself. Who have neither confirmed nor denied anything regarding either Scotland, nor how they will approach Brexit negotiations at all except to reiterate the Single Market = FOM angle. You'll find nothing from EU politicians ( barring random newspaper snippets similar to those on the Brexit thread ) on this either. :)

Now bring on Indyref2 ASAP so this can be resolved until Indyref3 is called for as the price of mince has increase since we left the EU...pathetic!

And it ain't just gonna be the price of mince either ... but hey you can now legislate for bent bananas that's gotta be a winner eh ?

Won't be able to afford any but that's not important

Sure, if you say so, which is what it must be as in all the articles I've watched, read and heard that is not the case. Personally I'll take anecdotal evidence from the media who have spoken to the fishermen directly.

    Pro-indy and anti-EU, anti-indy and anti-EU, few if any were pro-EU.

mmmm you see the problem with that is there's no editorial oversight on the twattersphere.

It's notorious for trolling, I work in IT, I'm a geek. Anything you get which is not from a media source with editorial oversight (which the major media companies do have for social media, a friend of mine is one for a Trinity Mirror Group outlet) is open to fake news. Pro-independence has a track record of fake news, fake memes, inaccurate stories and myths. So in order to stay informed I'd steer clear and only stick to the major media - but we already know you don't do that because they're on the side of the nasty unionists.

So twitter news with no editorial oversight for you then!

Strange isn't it, how everyone except shakey seems to understand that we're leaving the SM.

It's been spelt out pretty clearly really, but yet she's still banging on about it. The red line has been crossed. So why aren't the SNP printing off the ballot papers as we speak?

It's never going to get any better for the SNP and Nicola knows it. Negotiations will take place, trade deals will materialise and the SNP will still not be able to put together a sensible economic argument. Support will drift away as each month goes by. The argument is already lost.

But of course, playing the can kicking game is a sure fire way to keep the core support of twitter-obsessed loons clinging on to the hope.
