It's all about Taking Back Control. Don't be expecting a running commentary either. Sturgeon needs to keep all her cards close to her chest. All you need to know for now is that when it happens it will be a Blue and White independence.. with maybe a touch of tartan for the final flourish. Big bus as well with a 'Vote No for the Tories' on one side and 'Braveheart was 100% fact based' on the other.
If the above is good enough for you to vote for independence from the EU, surely it's good enough for me re Scotland and the UK ? Why worry about all that having a plan guff. Chill. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

If that is the case then why the drive to stay in the single market?
Your statement suggests nothing will change.

My position hasn't changed.
So if Mayhem is serious about exiting the single market (and at the moment she is, albeit events may change her position in due course) the Scottish govt should ensure Indyref2 is called and fought next year.
Timing and tactics will be critical though.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

The UK government isn't a communist dictatorship. How on earth did you manage to miss this ?Shakethedisease wrote: »..How on earth did you manage to miss this ? Scotland gets pocket money to spend and some income tax raising powers that aren't even fully in force yet.
Pocket money? Are you a complete idiot? Scotland gets an annual subsidy of £8.5 bn. The block grant will be billions more.0
