What like 'only voting No means staying in the EU'. Or..

    C2Xy4hhWQAAfNHm.jpg

Fishing control is supposed to be going back to Holyrood by default is it not ?

Does it 'suggest' it, you're pulling on some really thin and weak threads if you think this guy tweeting about what he thinks May is suggesting rather than what she actually said is proof positive of the 'bad Tories' you harp on about.

    Weak.

Edit: Which is indicative of the entire indy campaign at the moment. Waiting is the right thing to do for Nicola, waiting until she has some actual answers for a change.

so basically, you agree that there isn't support amoungst the VOTERS for Iscotland at this time.

what other options are you talking about ? there is only one.. Iscotland

The other options were a special deal for Scotland while still in the UK. Scottish voters need to see that it's either or. Cannot be in the UK and still part of the Single Market/EU. 28% of voters have still to make up their minds on that one along with the 5% DK's.

Dugdale and Rennie would have them believe otherwise via extensive UK and Scottish media coverage should Sturgeon call a referendum right now. May needs to close all 'special deals' options down first... then it really will be either or. For voters and Scottish Labour and Lib Dems.

It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

Yes she'll wait all right. Because if these fishing/agriculture rights don't come back to Holyrood, and fishing is used by the UK govt as a bargaining chip for leverage a la Spain as May herself suggested yesterday. Then will be another swing of No to Yes voters. They thought they were getting a Norway style deal with Brexit.

Sturgeon could still offer that perhaps

You're 2nd guessing everything, certain scenarios have to happen in your mind for it to all work - what does that tell you?

Edit: And over the last couple of posts you've been told by MEP's that Scotland's not getting a separate deal, you ignore that and quote the editor of Politics.co.uk???

these options aren't on the tables

the issue is why doesn't Nicola hold a vanity Iscotland referendum:
the answer is she don't think she will win

    the rest is junk discussion.

No one has officially told Scotland anything ( no separate negotiations remember ). Sturgeon has asked MAY specifically and officially to put the proposals forward to the EU and/or devolve the necessary powers to make them happen.

I'm ignoring nothing. It's you that doesn't get it still, it's May that will have to close every single one of Scotland's options down before another Sturgeon calls another ref. Any special deals included. If May had any sense she'd take Sturgeon's proposals forward and let the EU decide, but she's so far not cottoned on to the bigger picture yet.

Once May dismisses Sturgeon's proposals out of hand, and Article 50 triggered only then will Sturgeon make a move. Scotland will have no further options left whatsoever, nothing, nada, zero, zilch... other than a Scottish vote to decide it's EU/Single Market/UK future relationships. And no one can say Sturgeon didn't at least try.

You're missing the whole point completely. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Officially you're right, so what the hell are you on about with all these possible options?! Do these people even know they're possible or not or is it just conjecture?

I still don't get it. When the UK leaves the EU, Scotland will also leave the EU. IfScotland voted to leave the UK it would still be out of the EU.

Now out of both the UK and the EU doesn't seem like an enticing prospect but at least the Scots would have their independence.

You too. There will be another vote before Scotland leaves the EU/Single Market and you should get used to that fact now. SNP + Greens = majority at Holyrood.

Don't you worry that you will run out of time?

A50 will be triggered, and negotiations will start soon after.

The other EU states will assume they are negotiating with the UK entity as it stands now. How could they assume otherwise?

If the SNP come in with a referendum at the 11th hour, and introduce more complication, then who do you think will get the blame if it destabilizes the negotiations?

It will be directed at Scotland.

You could be seeking to join an union you have just antagonised.

If Scotland votes Yes before Brexit negotiations are concluded, voted on and signed off in the EU parliament. Then it conducts it's own on going negotiations separately... and wouldn't have technically nor legally left the EU in the process ( since negotiations haven't been concluded, voted on and signed off in the EU parliament ).

Last time round was a different scenario completely. And anyway, for all the talk about Scotland being kicked out immediately after a Yes vote in 2014. As we now know it takes years and lots of negotiations.... Scotland and her 5 million EU citizens wouldn't have been kicked out very quickly, if at all.
