BTW remind me again what idiot was so easily misled into starting this thread when there was a perfect existing thread that dealt with the topic? What numpty started this thread without checking their FACTS?
  • I've not looked at the claim you make about the qualified majority voting.

But let's assume you're right for a moment, you still need the votes, did that escape you?

You put it across as though, purely because you believe there to be no veto, that you're home and dry.

    Obviously not.

..Any separate deal for Scotland won't be part of A50, it would need to go to the full membership after the UK has left the EU and Spain (or others) certainly would have a veto on it.

    Is the correct answer.

Individual countries can’t veto a treaty governing the UK’s withdrawal from the EU, but could veto a treaty establishing Britain’s new relationship with the EU.

... And note, am just throwing all this out there for you. Not claiming it as 'fact'. ...

Oh, I think most people have already worked out that little of what you post has any factual basis whatsoever.:rotfl:

A Christmas message I came across on Facebook
    Dear SNP supporters,

Nicola Sturgeon's sole aim in her duplicitous manoeuvres is to make life more difficult for the UK Government.

I know this, and if you're being honest, so do you.

She doesn't care about the Brexit 62% and she cares even less about the 38%. All she's concerned about is persuading enough of them to vote for independence. Nothing - and I mean NOTHING - else matters to her.

She needs to spend less time worrying herself with what the UK Government are doing and more time sorting out the mess she and her incompetent SNP Government are making running Scotland. Education standards plummeting, Police Scotland in disarray, NHS missing targets, Poor infrastructural investment, Missing farmers payments, etc.

Please consider that Unionists are not the enemy or even the "evil, traitorous Other" that you are being led to believe.

We want what's best for Scotland too - and that means rejecting a fantasy-based, numerically-illiterate Utopia which would instantly alienate Scotland's biggest trading partner and cause very real austerity in a Scotland that would instantly have one of the highest deficits in the developed world.
