I do think Nicola and her Green mates should consider those 1/3 of Scot voters who couldn't give a monkeys on matters EU.
It rather looks like this silent but sizeable minority is being ignored.
What a truly and totally weird stance to have kabayiri. That's like saying we should have guessed that loads of people would've voted Labour in the last General Election, but didn't, but are now being ignored. Which of course, is a completely daft way to look at things. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

Wow what is your definition of democracy?
In 2014 we Scots decided to remain as a part of the United Kingdom.Nationalism is an infantile disease. It is the measles of mankind. - Albert Einstein.

Which boils down to the fact that you don't know what May's plan is and can't pick holes in it, whereas Sturgeon's "plan" is out there and deserves all the ridicule it is getting.
Maybe in the UK media but that's always the case no matter what the SNP do. But if you widen your outlook a bit..

There's loads more if you want them but you get the jist. But Sturgeon's speech yesterday has been very widely reported and covered in the EU. They seem really quite interested in the whole thing. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

As usual, you're just make stuff up or blindly believing Twitter drivel.
Spain (or any other state) cannot Veto the A50 deal, the agreement of 20 fellow EU states is required, no veto exists.Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.0 -

Of course they are everyone loves the ecstasy of an internecine battle.0 -

Perhaps you would like to say which article refers to a European head of government or EU official actually agreeing with Sturgeons "plan". Perhaps I missed it but I saw nothing although I have to admit I did not look at the polish stuff. They were just reporting the "plan".
Next you are going to claim that Salmond had negotiations with all 27 countries presumably. Sorry, I mean 26 since that claim has already been made for Spain. That went well didn't it.
And that's only from the EU perspective, Sturgeons so-called plan is impractical from the point of view of it being a solution implementable within the UK which is what she claims.
Drivel it remains.Union, not Disunion

She has a duty to represent ALL Scots, including the voters who did not express a preference in the EU vote.
You keep ignoring these voters when you quote the 62% figure, and I find it disingenuous...just like a politician in fact.
But you carry on with your spin0 -
2 Questions on the EU
What is the SNP policy on defence?
What is the SNP policy regarding being part of the EU Army?
Just curious if there is a policy.
Their only policy is to oppose the UK government on everything that matters, they probably would expect England to continue defending them until such time as they ceased to exist, ie managed to rejoin the EU. Why they would want to do that I do not know, I thought they wanted to be independent. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

Funny that; it's almost as if someone here is being paid to endlessly post propaganda in the form of links, quotes etc on a widely viewed discussion board, as part of a highly organised, high profile disinformation campaign.
Not terribly difficult to spot; cluster posting to relegate valid points well made to previous pages, responding to oneself with several consecuetive posts, and the occaisional letting down of the guard by informing others of what is to come, (from the SNP high command).
Wish my job was as easy!:rotfl:
Anyway; as we all now expect, (but are immune to), carry on with the spin!0 -

Politically motivated types never make things clearer, only muddying the waters when it suits.
It's a shame modern referendums do not have 3 outcomes :
a) clear majority FOR
b) clear majority AGAINST
c) Inconclusive (anything less than some predetermined split, say 60/40).
The EU referendum and the Scottish referendum both fell into c) IMO.
This is a reflection that people are not happy with the current situation, but are divided on the next steps.
Unfortunately, this is beyond politicos. Now it's worse. Conflating independent referendums indeed!
Next, they will be pot stirring in Spain; speaking to Catalonia. What a dog's dinner!0
