Your vote as a Scot was completely equal in the referendum to my vote as a Cheshire. Clapton would also note that it is also equal to a Yorkshire.
This is generally what an UK referendum vote means. It mean't the same in '75 too.
Obviously this doesn't apply to the nearly 1/3rd of Scots who didn't care enough to vote.
Just like their non-voting Lancashire cousins they have to accept the result from those that did.
If you didn't like the format of the referendum question you should have objected at the time
Ignored. Hence both the SNP and the Greens manifesto IN the devolved elections containing the 'taken out of the EU against our will' statement. The Scots went for it too, as they now form the majority at Holyrood. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -
Erm Scotland makes up 8% of the UK polukation ... so unless you can prove the people of Scotland are less worthy than the other UK citizens this is just typical behaviour coming from yourself
Do you want chips with that?
And how on earth do you prove a negative?
The money should go where it can be shown the need is greatest, not divied out equally across the UK.
I've no idea where that need is but it's just common sense that it goes there.
I -however- don't think my area will get any of it, not if my 200mbps bandwidth is anything to go by.Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.0 -
Oh so now we have a chip on our shoulders .... dearie me what a surprise wanting to be treated as equals then when pointed out were not its us that has the problem
Sounds awfy familiar to me0 -

The referendum was on a sovereign country by country basis.
No-one actually believes that Yorkshire could have a different set of external trading/immigration rules from Devon.
Nothing wrong with the SNP maintaining otherwise: national socialists have a long histroy of such dishonesty.
Anyhow, why isn't the Iscotland support now in the 70% let alone 60% given the clever, decisive and excellence of the SNP propaganda.0 -

I do think Nicola and her Green mates should consider those 1/3 of Scot voters who couldn't give a monkeys on matters EU.
It rather looks like this silent but sizeable minority is being ignored.0 -
Sometimes it can't be much fun being a politician. You spend months preparing some 'cunning plan' and it falls apart five minutes later.
Jorge Toledo, Spanish minister for the EU, said: "If the UK leaves the single market, the whole UK will leave the single market. There is only one negotiator, the UK government."

Ah well, back to the drawing board.0 -

That might be a good point, if you knew what T. May's plan was and had read it. As it stands, we just have Sturgeon's load of rubbish before us.Union, not Disunion
I have a Right Wing and a Left Wing.
It's the only way to fly straight.0 -

Ah well, back to the drawing board.
You realise what this means, the SNP will demand a referendum to separate from Spain.Union, not Disunion

Well that's not entirely true ... after 6 months we know that Brexit means Brexit, we know it's going to be a red white and blue Brexit and ermmmm .... well that's it really but hey let's spend our time slagging Nicola who at least came up with a 62 page plan for Brexit0 -

She paid people to come up with plans that are not possible, I wouldn't commend her on that I'd be asking how much cash she wasted on it. It's quite clear, in the UK and do as the UK does or independent and in the EU, maybe.0
