Living near the three faced clock and on the border with our Scots cousins and over time worked with many Scottish people ,we would laugh and joke about Things English and Scottish .The problem nowadays these things are blown out of proportion and now are classed as racist comments .The world as gone mad and in The UK the young seem to not be able to take something going against them and not make up there own minds about situations and have to be brain washed by things they see on social media. If there was a second EU referendum do you think the Scottish vote would be different now.I ask this as it seems Scottish independence is attached to it

I'm not sure if it would be different, I have spoken to many Scots that are still stunned and angry they are being put in this position, they seem.to be struggling with how England and Wales voted ..these are both yes and no voters that are angry BTW ... Turkeys voting for Xmas get mentioned often , but I do speak to ( much fewer) people that still want out of the EU, some who want independence and some who don't

I do wonder if England and Wales would vote the same given the chance again, the understanding I'm getting from a Scottish perspective is a lot of people.voted leave as they were fed up, the didn't expect leave to win and regretted their vote, that's not to say any of these opinions are widespread, just that they are my understanding of the situation

Do you ever discover a 'fact' or 'opinion' that doesn't support your own view that more people support iscotland and more people support staying in EU.

maybe you mix with a small number of similar people to yourself.

I'm exhausted with the whole voting, campaigning malarkey, don't think I want anymore ... less could be a good option though ;)

If Hamish is right, and rampant bigotry/racism/xenophobia/<insert favourite denigration here> is taking over in England, then why aren't more and more EU migrants flocking northwards to Scotland?

Direct evidence of this would be seized upon by Nicola as reason to call another referendum and remain 'at the heart of Europe'.

Well we have rain and midges ... I don't think anyone quite understands how hellish it can be to live here sometimes with the weather.

Again when I speak to individuals from abroad ( I work with many members of the public) responses usually include the weather, for me it's the midges the weather doesn't bother me too much, but a midge ... sheesh those things have landed me in A&E ;)

We do have a lot of refuweegies ( as some people like to call them) here and they have appeared to integrate well within their communities ... but they didn't really get much of a say where they were going , im sure they may have preferred somewhere warmer given the chance :)

Near where they're from, like Turkey, Jordan or Lebanon? Isn't that where us far right extremists are saying we should help them out?

We truly are awful, awful people. It's a wonder we don't shoot them as they try to invade using their dinghy's.

.. or we could simply withdraw support for any search and rescue operation in the Med, save the money.

oh, hang on, we already did that
Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.

Majority of Jordanians would prefer to return home. Still blame the British to this day. Decades on.
