Each region : England; Wales; NI and Scotland; should have a vote to show the strength of feeling towards independence IMO.

I don't assume the union is working for all Scots, or all Welsh, and I shouldn't assume it works for fellow English people either.

The English don't matter. We're bigots, racists and xenophobes. Some people on here have made their views quite clear.

Westminster is seen as an English parliament by SNP advocates, so we might as well have an English parliament, and a much smaller UK political construct.

I don't know how the rUK referendum should be worded - we could just use the same again "Should Scotland be an independent country?" or "Should rUK become independent of Scotland?" or "Should we let Scotland remain in the UK?"

More project fear. In fact the number of Europeans coming to the UK has increased since Brexit.

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/11/16/number-of-eastern-european-migrants-working-in-the-uk-since-the/

You've got the wrong end of the stick...
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) said the number of migrants born in Eastern Europe employed in Britain rose by 49,000 between July and September
There were 2.3 million EU nationals working in the UK in the latest quarter, up by 232,000 on a year ago
EU nationals coming to the UK in the last year 232.000
EU nationals coming to the UK in the last 3 months 49,000
EU nationals coming to the UK in the previous 9 months 183,000 (per 3 months average 61,000)

That means there has been a 20% drop in EU nationals coming to the UK in the last 3 months of the last year on average.

The article is about employment of EU nationals in the UK (drop in unemployment rates), not the amount coming.

And yet it was only a day or so ago that you said a large number of Scots had Anglophobia! :rotfl:

I'm pretty sure all YES voters here have no problem with the English oh the whole. One is married to an English man, one lives and enjoys living in England, one is English :D and I have English friends and neighbours and find them non-offensive. All the rest seem typical of the ones mentioned above.

The fact that you can't grasp the basics of what Scottish independence is about is actually quite funny :D

you basically misunderstand what racism or prejudice is all about.
It has NOTHING to do with whether you like or dislike individuals : its about your tribal bigotry for the concept of the group.

e.g. would a decent person choose, in the 21st century a song to represent their forward looking 'new' country, that was about killing the English hundreds of years ago?
well a non bigoted people wouldn't but people with a long history of prejudice would.

Why oh why do you lot lie?

Show me the quote where I said a large number of Scots were anglophobic (since you can't have anglophobia, it's not a disease, it's a belief/opinion).

Oh right, so now we're not all racist and xenophobic?

Is it just those who voted to leave the EU, because they're disagreeable to start with?

I find it [STRIKE]funny[/STRIKE] sad that you and other pro-independence supporters appear unable to read and digest information.

Well previous quotes indicate that Scotland (as a group) is the least racist part of the UK bar London.

I've got to admit. It's not something I think about or come across often except being accused of it on this thread.

I didn't accuse you of racism or xenophobia.

Shakethedisease said I was wrong that there's a link between anglophobia and the SNP. She asked me to produce the scientific evidence for my claim, which I did.

I then had people tell me and everyone on here that specific quotes that said there was a link, didn't say there was a link, and I'm the one who is wrong?

I doubt in many white americans in the bible belt ever came across much racism either : just those university agitators from the north causing trouble amoungst us god fearing people.
