The reason the main political party gets thwarted as you put it, is for the same reason I've outlined time and time again.

They are a regional party, standing for election to Westminster.

It doesn't put peoples backs up. Just those who voted for this situation in the first place, which is ironic yet expected. You might as well have voted for the Monster Raving Loony party, at least they stand across the entire UK, they have more of a chance at achieving a UK government than the SNP do.

By that you are indicating that Scotland as a country doesn't matter, what we want will always be outvoted ... so if we ever really want any change we have to be independent ... that's OK by me I must say ... and thanks for agreeing :)

Well no that's not what I've said at all is it?

I've been saying all along that a vote for the SNP at Westminster is a waste, and of course it is, it couldn't be anything else since they don't stand across the UK. So electing them to the UK parliament is meaningless unless they are in coalition. Because of their policies none of the UK parliaments will go into coalition with them. Labour are thinking about it, but I suspect it would only happen once independence is 'off the table'.

Because it's a forlorn hope to vote SNP in a UK general election it makes no sense to them complain you have Conservative government. It's deranged. Either you vote pragmatically if you hate the Conservatives so much or you waste your vote (as evident in 2015).
  • @beecher52 apologies that I'm repeating myself again, the point just doesn't seem to be sinking in.

I didn't understand what you were trying to say here.

Scottish people are fine, I have no problem with them. I've never met any of the people who post anglophobic comments on the internet in person, nor have I been subjected to it when I've visited Scotland (admittedly the tourist destinations).

I do dislike the people who say such things, and it is the only country in the union with a nationalist parliament, nationalist representation at Westminster and a nationalist movement whose contributors compose anglophobic comments. The conclusion does really draw itself.

So by your words then ... you have never experienced anything yourself and don't know any body that holds these views and yet you believe it is on the increase and yet you have still to produce any facts on the matter that back up your statement ... but you are really sure it's the Scots fault because we have a NATIONALIST parliament ran by a NATIONAL party whose contributors compose anglophobic comments which any minute now you will provide and all of that draws to a conclusion that it's the Scots that have the problem ?

Hmm mm OK then as long as that's cleared up no worries

I'll be bothered to do it at some point. Both you and Shakey want me to, it's there to find, I think you both remember me quoting many comments from Wings Over Scotland calling us !!!!!philes and other such endearing names.

I didn't realise there was a deadline, I do have other things to do than produce evidence to show what you deny takes place.

Do it or not it's your choice ... I wouldn't dream of forcing you to do something you don't want to ... unlike my country being forced into things it doesn't want ... like leaving the EU ;)

We all know that referendum was unfairly tainted by the SNP advising to vote Remain with independence in mind. I've shown you the evidence many times.

Ooo independence vote at 62% ah will take that :)

Of course it was all the SNP that unfairly tainted things ... £350m on the side of a bus wasn't unfairly tainted, and neither was all the immigration rubbish ... oh no siree twas the SNP''s fault

Now really I need to go to sleep ... speak later
  • Here the first paper I've found discussing the anti-English sentiment in Scotland. This is from 2003 before the SNP and its support became what they are today.
