Who, where are these new new parties?Shakethedisease said:If Nicola doesn't get the SNP's act together soon over giving Scots voters that choice someone else will.1 -
Scotland might have had a chance if Sturgeon had had the b@lls to try & refuse to allow the Brexit referendum. She didn't.Shakethedisease said:No. I'm not bothered by what England decides re Brexit. However, Scotland didn't vote for it and should be given a choice by Holyrood. It's as simple as that.Shakethedisease said:Devolution isn't compatible with a UK wide Brexit. Holyrood will be hollowed out in the process. If Nicola doesn't get the SNP's act together soon over giving Scots voters that choice someone else will. Be it another SNP leader or a new party which will command significant support from the Yes movement.More nat rubbish with you supposedly speaking on behalf of all Scots again, not only denying the half (give or take a very few) that want to remain in the union but ignoring the law too! Devolution is completely compatible with a UK-wide Brexit, not leastly because (again) no devolved areas refused or tried to refuse to allow the Brexit referendum; that amounts to acceptance.
Suck it up, you're too late.Shakethedisease said:

How can offering all Scots a choice be speaking for all Scots ? You've got your wires crossed somewhere. Asking a question isn't speaking for anyone, it's asking a question.cognoscente said:

Only then will we find out what the majority of Scots voters want. England has made their choice on Brexit as a nation as part of the UK. Scotland as a nation didn't make the same one.
Time to ask a question. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?6 -
One's already registered with the Electoral Commission ( Independent Scotland Party ), the Peoples Alliance is also making moves, AUOB and Wings over Scotland is still to decide.The_Rainmaker said:

They'll all have to get together and decide what to do next May in order to maximise list votes/target areas for independent parties in order to squeeze Tories, Labour and the Lib Dems out... they all get most of their seats from the list.

If they do things right they'll succeed in ousting a lot of Labour/Tory and Lib Dem list seats though. As always though, it's getting them to agree who stands where which will be the biggest problem. However, it seems like a no deal scenario might be back on the cards by June. If so, expect the SNP to start making serious moves themselves towards an expediated indy ref 2 regardless of anything else.
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

This Yougov poll makes chilling reading for Westminster imperialists. The same people who squeal for independence for England, but insist that it would be a disaster for Scotland.
https://yougov.co.uk/topics/politics/articles-reports/2020/01/30/scottish-independence-yes-leads-remainers-increasi
The report shows that the more England and Wales slide towards right-wing Brexit isolationism, the more Scots favour splitting with the union. The more Scots favour splitting with the union, the more the SNP is likely to instigate their own plebiscite.
If the SNP instigate their own plebiscite, Yes will win.
Scotland is on course to leave the UK.
