The SNP leadership might not have signed sworn statements that the referendum would be the last for a generation but that was very much the impression they gave.
The SNP could at least be honest and say ' well yes, we're the SNP but we're a single issue party and lost the referendum so of course we're going to come up with reasons why we shouldn't wait a generation. Public health and other devolved matters you say? That's 'Westminster's fault - something to do with not having the correct levers'
Or they could just say they had their fingers crossed behind their backs.0 -
MSP Mhairi Black a Drag Queen called Flowjob a Primary 1 class and then faux outrage from the LGBT community.
You really couldn't make this stuff up.
The Nats credibility is sinking faster than the Titanic.

It's getting boring this now. Alex Salmond is long gone from the SNP. And in any case the voters appear to think differently about when the next indy ref should take place. And its Scots voters who'll decide not any one politician. We'll be the ones instructing Hollyrood what we want and when.It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?7 -

(If you don't like the Mail plenty of other sourcesI've been following the story on Twitter from the start. It was Stu Campbell who highlighted the drag queen's 'credentials' and pictures on his/her social feed... a big blunder by Mhairi who seems to have started putting gender ideology before anything else these days. Unacceptable I agree. I was horrified. Not by the drag queen readingthe kids a story ( think Drag race/Panto Dame etc ), but what young pupils might have found when looking this person up afterwards.Mhairi and the SNP would be well advised to take a step back from the current gender 'wars' right now. It sunk Jo Swinson and most of the female contenders for the Labour leader and deputy leadership. It'll do the same to the SNP if they don't. Labour and Lib Dems heading the same way.It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?4 -

Holyrood will be an empty shell in a few years once the Tories get going. Brexit and trade deals cannot be vetoed by Holyrood or any devolved nations government. Devolution can't co-exist in any meaningful sense alongside Brexit because it'll stop UK wide trade deals happening.
Independence or bust basically. And most of us know it.

If the boot was on the other foot and you were in the rUK, and had voted for independence from the eu, you would be screaming blue murder if a "country" of less than 10% the size of yours could stop it.
Yes, England often gets what it wants because it is bigger and has more MPs, that is the way things work. If a group of you cannot decide what to do you take a vote, the majority wins. And we have a big majority at the moment. The SNP have a big majority within Scotland so they are doing what they want, they are wrecking the Scottish NHS and the Scottish education system and then trying to blame it on Westminster.
The big difference is that the government are doing what the WHOLE OF THE UK voted for. We voted as a single country, not single compartments of that country. Our government are not a one trick pony like the SNP, they are picking the ball up and running, getting things done that have been waiting ages because of the messing about in parliament by other parties and people that had more influence than they deserved. We might even be able to change the law and allow shops to open longer on a Sunday if they want to, without Scotland stopping us to protect their own interests.
We can finally put the UK first.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare3 -
No. I'm not bothered by what England decides re Brexit. However, Scotland didn't vote for it and should be given a choice by Holyrood. It's as simple as that.
Devolution isn't compatible with a UK wide Brexit. Holyrood will be hollowed out in the process. If Nicola doesn't get the SNP's act together soon over giving Scots voters that choice someone else will. Be it another SNP leader or a new party which will command significant support from the Yes movement.
No ones interested in England. You've made your choice. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?5
