  • Apologies. But those are all soooo far back ( 2010 ? ) and not particularly memorable. Scottish politics based threads I've started = 1. And it's this apparent plethoria and multitude of Scottish threads I've started which Labman objects to. I have no idea why, don't suppose you have any idea do you ? Perhaps a spare account floating about.. you seem awfully 'invested' in this trivia.

Simon Jenkins pretty much spot on today. Theresa needs to face facts.
Some sort of Scottish independence is inevitable. May needs to face up to it

But Sturgeon is in the ascendant. The weekend’s polls put her SNP’s lead over all other parties at between 23 and 26 points, astonishing for a governing party that has been in office for 12 years, with Sturgeon as its leader for five. In that time, the popularity of Scottish independence has risen to an unprecedented 49% support. With an electorate that strongly rejected leaving the EU, Sturgeon reasonably calculates that this is the moment to strike.

It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

I missed Nicolas speech sharkey, was it any good ? cant find it online anywhere
I was working so missed it as well. Seems to have very well recieved. Something for everyone..https://www.thenational.scot/news/17603494.read-nicola-sturgeons-full-speech-from-the-snp-spring-conference/

There's a real disconnect going on between insisting there's going to be a second indy ref, and the fact everyone has known for some time that a section 30 won't be granted. But I think the SNP are right to play it close to chests until there is some Brexit clarity. Who knows what's going to happen between now and Oct.

Folks on this forum won't see it, and I don't know if you feel the same but there seems to be a real head of steam building at the moment ? I think the close shave of a possible 'no deal' at the end of March has woken people up...hence the polls starting to shift.

Ruth is back this week. No doubt the media will be in full fledged fawn mode for the next few weeks. Full of cosy little policy free natters about how Ruth deals with being a working mother these days. :rotfl:

2015, 2013 and 2010. However you try to spin it, you have claimed more than once you only ever have started one thread in this forum when you have started four. If you consider not telling the truth trivia you and the SNP are good bedfellows.

Ooooooooh. Get you. Ok one SCOTTISH thread on the forum. Have you yourself anything to actually contribute to the subject ? At all ? Or do you want to keep feverishly going through my whole 3 other threads spread out over 5 years,, last one 4 years ago. It's a bit strange if you don't mind my pointing it out..

I do stand corrected though about Ruth Davidson. She returns to politics tomorrow and her face is everywhere already talking about being the next First Minister - BBC reporters reverently agreeing. Not a Brexit or Conservative Party question in sight so far. Only the usual 'No to a second indy ref' speil. No changes there then.

On the make, and on the take. One Scottish Nationalist has helped herself to 6 threads already, but claims just one.

    Salmond disgraced.

    Sturgeon suspected.

What else are they up to?
