Sounds just like the other old tired soundbites that dominate the media. Divide and rule. Rather than proactively engage in constructive debate.
There's no debate to be had when it comes to Brexit constructive or otherwise.. Scotland and her elected representatives are being completely ignored. And that goes for the Tory ones too with both Mundell and Davidson threatening to resign if their Scottish perspectives aren't taken into account.

They both know if NI gets special treatment, that 62% you're casually dismissing will also want the best of both worlds. If the Tories say Yes to NI and No to Scotland then they better have a very, very good reason for doing so. Since they will spend the next months having to justify it to a few million very angry Scots from all political persuasions. Then Nicola will pull the (Scottish) People's vote trigger.
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

On a 6% lower turnout. That leaves 1.3 million people who expressed no interest.

Remain representing nearer 40% of the electorate. Which ever way you look at it. There's no ringing endorsement for Indy. As would have been a perfect opportunity to express a personal view with no political attachment.

even if only 100 people in Scotland voted ... it was still the result it was ... Scotland voted remain ... suck it up
    p.s ... I didn't vote in the EU ref ... I don't think many would honestly believe I don't want Indy ;)

    I agree.

I do wonder if the SNP ( surprisingly) throwing all their weight behind the People's Vote, is paving the way once it becomes clear the UK won't have one...for a Scottish only 'People's vote' ? A straight vote between Brexit and independence. No messing around. No endless borefest debates about GERS and a hundred other tired old 2014 soundbites ( see posts above). Here's your choice Tory Brexit v's Scottish Indy.

All those now shouting loudest about People's votes unable to retract support because they'd look like hypocritical idiots lol.

I wasn't really that impressed with Nicola in this instance tbh, she was going about at first saying the SNP might not agree to a people's vote as the people of Scotland have been largely ignored and wanted assurances that the people of Scotland's vote in a people's vote would be respected.... Next thing she is backing a people's vote, not really standing up for us there imo, if she had said i will agree to a people's vote if the result in Scotland was respected, that would've been different, but she didn't

Yes, seemed a strange leap to make to me too. Can only assume there must be a reason behind it beyond just 'supporting' one.

    Police Scotland - FAIL

    Scottish Education - FAIL

    Scottish Rail Transport - FAIL

    Her cunning plans aren't working.

Care to name a few where your Sainted Nicola's plans have worked out in the past? Indy Ref 1 was a glorious success was it?

It was part of the cunning plan. It's not apparent now, but in hundreds of years, when Scotland is still part of the UK but only returning 40 Tory MPs to Parliament, it will all make sense.

There you go - just google it and this comes up. We don't need evidence though - people don't need newspapers to tell us that people who have asthma (like my DH) cant get a flu vaccination until November because it has run out. People see that Doctors Surgeries - Like here in West Lothian are closing!

The evidence is there for us all to see!
