15,000 out of a population of 5.25 million.
That`s truly alarming for the majority of no voters.
I suppose we better just give up our opposition to separation right now and capitulate to the minority.
Such bunkum from the indy failures in life.Nationalism is an infantile disease. It is the measles of mankind. - Albert Einstein.

apparently 15,000 marching at Bannockburn according to the BBC, meanwhile the Stirling Tories were out trying to promote their agenda in the town, wonder what their numbers were
me like the majority of yes supporters spent the day elsewhere ( gardening for me )
Glad to hear that you made best use of the lovely day yesterday - as we all did!
I don't know where the BBC got 15,000 people from though - Even All under One Banner are claiming it to be 8,000 - The BBC cant be biased surely!Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.0 -

actually from what I saw AUOB were saying more but accused the BBC of saying 8, I ( like many others ) gave a link to the BBC which stated 15,000
maybe though the BBC had 8,000 to begin with who knows
from what read official police figures were 15,000
either way I think it was more than the Tories managed, and I have a tidier garden so I'm happy0 -
I was at a local gala - not sure on numbers but probably between 8 - 15 thousand.
On the subject of numbers here is another

And Fidelma Cook along with Deerin and Foote.I have said, many times, in this column that I do not feel it right to discuss Scottish politics. But there comes a moment.I found the disrespect in the House towards Scotland and its representatives beyond all acceptable behaviour. And, like many commentators I believe that was the day the fight for independence took a giant leap forward. On display was all the contempt that England has shown over and over again to its neighbours. Some of the statements made about Ireland and its border issue have been breathtaking in the ignorance and insensitivity of those making them.By the end of this debacle England will stand alone, Ireland will be united and Scotland will be a nation again.I hold no political allegiances, have never and will never take membership in any party, but were I in Scotland and asked to vote in an independence referendum, I would not hesitate. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -
which local gala was that ?0

Who is Fidelma Cook?AT the age of 56, high-flying journalist and broadcaster Fidelma Cook was made redundant from her job with a national newspaper.
I decided to move to south of France after losing job and realising debt I was in, says ex-journalist Fidelma Cook
Can't have been very high flying unless she thought she was Icarus!0 -
