Merely stating the obvious yet again. The foundations of independence require something more than creative thinking and accounting. Trouble is politicians have an inability to take long term views. Seems as if power goes to their heads. Meaning they have to leave a mark on history while they can.0 -
So who's gonna pay for the Glasgow Art School to be rebuilt? The Scottish government or will they be holding their hands out again? I know where I'd put my money.0

Yesterday's front page and coverage from the Daily Record gave a very surprising thumbs up to the SNP. Think they might finally be giving up on Labour and Labour abstaining on the Withdrawal/Devolution ammendment might have been a last straw for a few journo's there eh ?It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

Dissolving the Union between Scotland and England ( equal signatories ) is a whole different legal kettle of fish from a section 30 sanctioned referendum which we all know will never be granted. Perhaps there will be no choice in the end but to pursue the whole thing back to front from the last time. The starting point being the Treaty itself rather than hanging about waiting for Theresa.
Is just an aside but you can see the phrase and the legalities being discussed more and more via blogs and social media etc lately. Is a whole different and interesting perspective. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

Not a fan of the Arts and/or Scotland? If it proves to be dodgy builders/contractors I would hope the insurers. But as already stated above it looks like the building is irrecoverable now, which is a great tragedy.0
