The UK is also a union, made up of four. Three of them with no input whatsoever. Neither before nor during negotiations. Whatever you want to call it, that's not the UK 'as a whole'.

Then look to see if you can find the EU in there either.
The UK is a sovereign state. One. Not three, four or 65 million; one.
The EU is NOT one sovereign state, it is in fact 27. If you look in the list below you will see on the right hand side which of these are members of the EU.

I will ask you what I asked ISTL when he said this earlier in this thread.

Why then is Scotland's GDP less than rUK which is increasing?

Analysis from economist John McLaren of Scottish Trends shows that the GDP growth figure for the fourth quarter of 2016 was 0.8 per cent, meaning that the full 2016 figure was 1.7 per cent compared to the UK growth level of 3.6 per cent.

Another nationalist success story!!

A FLAGSHIP scheme to give the parent of every newborn baby in Scotland a box of useful items is running months behind schedule.

The “baby box” initiative – a cardboard box that doubles as a makeshift crib and includes items such as bedding and clothing – was a key SNP manifesto pledge in last year’s Holyrood election.

Speaking last May, Nicola Sturgeon told MSPs: “Within a year from now, every child born in Scotland will receive a baby box – a box of essential items to help level the playing field in the very first days of their life.”

But the scheme is still not under way and estimated costs have risen by nearly 50% to £8.8 million a year.

I suppose the SNP have to build up their piggybank reserves so that they can plunder it and publish another White Paper SNP Manifesto for this Referendum Consultancy they're planning. Will be useful for court cases too.
