With all the spare time I have, you'd have thought I'd have more done.
I have weekends like that - get home Friday night and don't go out the front door again until Monday morning, then achieve nothing apart from the day-to-day essentials with the time. While I don't always succeeed, I've tried to stop worrying about it and accept that if I achieved little that weekend, then it's because I needed the downtime (and there are times when I do really need it).Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230 -
Ono - have you seen Modus? I started watching it this weekend (recorded it over Christmas I think). Was one of those Saturday night BBC4 Scandinavian crime dramas.... thought you may have seen it
Got the last two episodes left to watch.....seriously considering going home to do that!0 -
Yes, I watched it when it was broadcast. My Saturday evenings are usually spent watching the 9pm BBC4 "foreign crime drama" slot, such is the excitement of my social life :rotfl:
I thought it was very good, as much of what they show is.

I am wondering whether I should be concerned that I managed to leave both my front and back door ajar last night when I went to bed?
Given that a) I remember thinking I mustn't forget to check the doors and promptly forgot and b) the ferocious guard dog that is Gitdog tends not to open his eyes when strangers enter the house. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Today, I spent over 6 hours sorting envelopes and labels for a mailshot that can't be sent out until the photocopier is fixed.
That's it.
I really, really, need to find another job. Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0 -
That sounds mindnumbingly bad. Any prospect of it improving when sick person is properly back. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Sick person is properly back.
We are getting to be an awesome team. We had a long heart to heart and she showed me a load of stuff that I could do to keep the admin side ticking over. Including how to generate sticky address labels for mailshots.
The person I'm replacing is still off and will be off for the foreseeable future. Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0 -
It's Pancake Day!
Tonight we will have lemon and sugar, or banana and chocolate on it. Yummy, yummy.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
I've had some pancake disasters over the years but am very tempted to give it another go this evening.0
