I've had some pancake disasters over the years but am very tempted to give it another go this evening.
Tea go for it. The first one is always rubbish. As the even though you think the pan is hot enough it never is.
As AM has TA tonight we will partake tomorrow evening.
I am around guys but just worn out as so much going on. Husbands pre-op yesterday. Down again on friday for the op. Mum to the opticians thursday. This is the big weekend of the move. So van hire and getting all stuff out of the house  ready to be cleaned and any decorating to be done. Garden needs to be sorted as well.
Right need to be off again to walk up to the drs to meet husband after a blood test.
Catch you all later
Yours

My boss wants a "quick chat at some point today".
I have not done anything wrong.
I am so terrified I have vomited twice.
Send love please.

((((hbs)))) there are about 1 million things it could be, that are not about you having done anything wrong.
- Your boss might be leaving and wants to tell you themselves.
- They might need to carry out a regular appraisal, but as they're so happy with your performance they don't see the need to make it anything formal so will have a quick chat when you have a minute.
- There might be changes coming up they need to let you know about.
- They might be going on holiday and need to remember to mention it to you.
- They might want to ask you to take on more responsibility or different tasks.
- They might need you to sign something (form from HR or similar).

hugs hbs, as tea says, it could be nothing to worry about.
I don't vomit when I'm really, really worried and stressed about something, my physical reaction is (penguin for Too Much Information!!) to end up with diawoowoo, seem to be on and off the loo every five minutes until I can calm my thoughts and try to put it to the back of my mind  . ((hbs)) - usually when my manager asks me for a 'quick word later on' it means I'm getting more work or put on a different project. I always panic that I'm about to be told off or fired though.
Whenever I get freaked out, I don't have either hbs or ono's reaction - instead I get very tense, start to obsess over the worst possible option, my digestive system decides to give me excess acid and not to release anything, ever and my brain decides it needs to sleep right now . Unless it's actually bedtime when my brain decides not only is it the best time to examine the worst possible outcome but it's also time to review everything I've ever done wrong, my most embarrassing moments and all the stupid things I've ever said /done.
It's Mr CP's turn to cook which means we're probably not getting pancakes. It's a pity because I love them with golden syrup or making American style pancakes with maple syrup and bacon.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
I guess vomiting and diarrhoea is the body's way of getting rid of broken down stress hormones and making itself lighter for flight, ie a normal, sensible side effect, except that perhaps it is slightly too easily triggered for a comfortable daily life.
I am in the lull before the afternoon's storm. It could be very busy later.
Can't wait to get home and put newly washed pjs on. Some days it is only pjs and fluffy socks that keep me going.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
It was...okay. They knew I'd had a godawful week last week and got very upset, but wondered why I'd never asked for help!
(Answer - I didn't want to bother anyone. My poor boss said she'd forget I was there if I didn't provide slides on a regular basis haha!)
So I got a little slap on the wrist because I delayed some time-sensitive work, but they were understanding of my personality. I did get an "ask next time! We're always busy and others bother us - you should too."
PHEW!!

Edit: Seeing as you posted in the ridiculous amount of time it took me to type my post (people seem to interrupt the second I try to type something personal) the below is pretty pointless. I'm glad it was all alright though.
HBS, seeing as I have a tendency to panic and think that I'm about to get fired whenever my boss asks to have a chat I can sympathise. As others have said though, it's always been to ask me if I'd be happy to take on more/different work or just a quick check up to see how things are going.
I tend to try to calm myself down by reminding myself that if it was something bad they'd be far more likely to drag me straight into a room for a telling off than ask for a chat at some point. I generally ignore myself and it doesn't work but hopefully it'll be more help to you0 -
Glad it went OK Hbs.
Izzy - I know exactly what you mean. I can be working hard and there's not a manager to be seen. The instant I pull my phone out or check my personal email or look at something on the Internet, all the managers appear and it looks like I never do any work. It's so annoying.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0
