I've lost my list of birthdays, possibly in one of my recent clear-outs, so if I don't post any images on your birthday, people, please don't take it personally.

((tea)) - that's not on. Have you heard anything about the potential new job?

Had that quick call from them last week (pretty much just confirming they'd received the application). She did say that they don't have a closing date as such so not to be concerned if I don't hear again for a while..... although no idea how long 'a while' is!

ETA: is there a closing date for the job at the old place?

I've got an interview for a temporary in house job tomorrow.

I've got half the logins and passwords needed to do the job, the rest are quite easy to get. The lady sounded grateful when I called her this morning.

She has no problems with me leaving at 1pm on Tuesday (GCSE Maths day) and seemed genuinely pleased that I had no other holidays booked or other commitments.

I think I'm in with a good chance there.

    Happy Monday everybody!
 Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway...

It's complicated. It's been open for over a year, and they did have people applying for it, but afaik, everyone withdrew because they were taking too long about it. It's quite a specialised role so there's only 1 other person who could go for it and he's made it clear he doesn't want it. I've been approved for return, they just need to organise the interview but they're just really poor at doing recruitment things in a reasonable timescale, which means they miss out on the best people - if they'd advertised it when it first became vacant I'd have gone for it and not left. The trouble is that the department is run by someone who just doesn't give a toss anymore and it's just biding his time to retirement and he does nothing so I don't know if the hold up is with him or with HR. If I got the job, he'd be my manager though, which is probably why nobody else wants it.

Still looking for other jobs in the meantime. I had a meeting here earlier and I think it's clear to my manager that I'm unhappy but so is he and he can't find a way to motivate us.

Seriously, I just want a job that doesn't suck the life out of me. Surely it can't be *that* hard?

I am attempting to wrestle back control on my life. So we have just opted out of contactless cards. I will see if that makes a difference. I can't stand that the transactions just appear during the day. Yes, I know I spent it but I don't have enough of a balance to have leeway if I have transferred money over to cover a dd.

    Afternoon my lovelies,

Hugs and squishes and handshakes all round.

Anyway had my car dilemma has sorted out for me today. Did not sleep well so only just got up. My car has been clamped by DVLA. Before anyone shouts at me yes I know it was on a public highway. But down a little cul de sac out the way. Was insured but no MOT or tax. But I was not driving it. Yes I should I have parked it on the grass but was letting Action man do so. I think that one of my neighbours dobbed me in.

Going to let them take it and as I am not going to pay £260 to get it back as I can't tax it. Which means I will not get the £160 back as I have no MOT so no tax. so catch 22. And got to get it back home with no tax or MOT from 40 odd miles away. Going to take all my stuff out and let them take it away.

Annoyed at myself. But my own fault.

Great start to the day :rotfl:

    You go ginger. Fingers crossed

Anyway off to sulk all my own fault I know :rotfl:

    Everyone take care

    Yours

    Calley X
