  • I had a dream yesterday that I was happy. Can't tell you what exactly went on, I remember randomly dancing with my cousin and brother, but mainly it was the literal feeling of happiness. You know sometimes when you dream and you actually get the feeling then your falling or actually get the feeling of fear? Same thing here but just the feeling of happiness.

And ironically how sad of an experience it was. Woke up with a smile on my face then quickly realised I wasn't dreaming and have not felt that feeling in more than a decade. During my lowest point a few months ago I got in contact with my GP and referred myself for some help. Got a call and told I would be contacted within 6 weeks. More than 6 weeks have gone and I have not heard a thing.

  • Andrew, I am just hoping that your system is reminding you what happiness feels like as part of your recovery towards it. I can only suggest you check back (oh god, good luck if it is with your GP!) for your referral. If it was to IAPT you should be able to self-refer....

    Hi Andrew!

Funnily enough, that happened to me the night before last.

It doesn't happen very often at all. I don't know what is worse.....it never happening, so that you never ever get even a fleeting and unreal feeling of being happy, or it happening, to remind you what it's like, but then you realising that it's not real.

If it's only just on the six weeks, I'd give it another week or so. It might be the Christmas effect that has delayed things. It might normally be six weeks, but with Christmas, that might make it seven or even eight weeks.
After that, I'd ring up, as JM said.

Gingernutty - GOOD LUCK with the job application!!

Code - Mr HBS is pretty much going through that at the moment. How can he fix a system if he doesn't even have the authorisation to access the system? It's really getting him down too, so I sympathise with you both.

  • Morning all. Tired and achy me today, I spent much of the weekend digging in the garden and mixing sand and cement to make a shed base. I'm now ready for the new sheds to turn up next week, amazingly actually got something done in advance of when it was needed!

Wishing everyone a good week :)

Ugh. Serious case of the Mondays. Apparently today is the most miserable day of the year, so that's... just great :( However, I almost have full movement back in my neck so that's something.

Glad it's getting better code x.

Definitely not a great Monday here either - not helped by hearing (in passing, not even from him) that my boss is apparently not doing a huge part of our workload anymore. The part that involves loads of travel etc - so apparently the three of us will be splitting even more work between us and he can just walk away from it without so much as a team discussion. Cross just doesn't cover it.

Terribly Blue Monday here. I am going to cry in the bedroom for a bit and then I will be back later to tell you about it.
