Ian McCaskill, the Scottish weatherman.

So busy at work today, but productively busy, not stupidly so. (Sorry code!)
Saw a good phrase on Songs of Praise the other night -
Stress is when you feel that you have to do things RIGHT NOW. Faith is when you trust that it will be done in God's time.
I am not particularly religious (awaits thunderbolt, lol) but it is a very adaptable phrase.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
I've got a mock GCSE exam tonight 2 hours before I normally wake up for work.
I've been to the GP for blood tests (odd thing happening, probably peri-menopause), been shopping for a few lunch bits and I've got things to do Wednesday morning/afternoon.
I've got a pile of appraisal paperwork I'm not filling in for Thursday, as I 'm going to tell appraisor that I'm handing in my resignation on Friday.
Friday afternoon, after working on my letter, I will hand in my resignation.

Yay! Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0 -
Been busy writing my presentation for my interview. Think I've hit the right tone, so now I just need to get it into my swiss cheese memory. I do have some actual work to do, but partly because it's boring and partly because of everything that's happened stripping my motivation and interest, I thought this was a better use of my time.
Good luck for the exam ginger.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
I really, really do hope that 2017 brings everyone the job they can enjoy and get some satisfaction from.
To dread getting up each morning to go into work is a living hell, chipping away at you, day after day.
Nobody should have to endure that.
The 1980s have got a lot to answer for in that respect, as they seem to have paved the way for this general attitude of companies towards their staff. It's been getting worse ever since, with the zero hours contract thing being the pits.
So, roll on a new year of opportunities, with the insight to spot the opportunities, and the bravery to go for them!(I just lurve spiders!)

Me too, Pyxis, only add in a lottery win :rotfl:
There's a nice house up for sale just now that would be perfect for doggy day care and kennels. Obviously way out of my price range though so come on Euromillions*

Let's hope so pyxis!
Am ill and feeling sorry for myself, although on the plus side I got to spend the day snuggled with p cat on the sofa. How sad is this.....am more concerned about having to go back to work tomorrow. I'd rather be ill than be at work.0 -

I know exactly what you mean tea. Some mornings I hope I'm in an accident - not a bad one, just a broken leg or arm or something that means I don't have to go to work for a while. :rotfl:
Hope you feel better soon xEu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0
