Sorry folks, I'm having a whinging day.
Although it's not cold cold where I am, the Reynaud's has kicked in with a vengeance. Took an hour or after walking Gitdog for the fingers to return and the feet are still frozen. I foresee chilblains.
Have you got those battery-operated gloves that warm up?(I just lurve spiders!)

I love Sunday.
We are going to friends for lunch but apart from that just staying at home and chilling. I'll probably do some craft stuff. Littlewing has drawn some brilliant people pictures, which are just begging to be replicated onto mugs for xmas.
Been up doing housework but I think I will go back to bed now.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
I have got the lurg. Which probably explains why I had no energy and felt so cold yesterday. Wishing you all a germ free rest of weekend. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Think I'm getting it too elsien. Got out of breath going up the stairs at home which is a classic getting lungs filled with mucus sign for me.
The wedding was nice and I got so many compliments on my dress and red shoes. I even made smalltalk and did some (very bad) dancing. Go me!
Sadly I've hit a wall with the back to work blues which kicked in on Saturday. I really, really, really, don't want to go back there to the point where even thinking about it makes me close to a panic attack. I've decided to keep my head down, do what work I have and spend the rest of my time doing online programming courses and applying for other jobs. Hey guys. Long time no speak, so to speak
It's not been a good few weeks.
I've been suffering from painful feet and got myself referred to a podiatrist.
I thought I knew what was wrong (ganglion type growths called neuromas) but it turns out I was wrong.
Fat pad atrophy.
At first I was joking with the podiatrist about not meaning to lose that much weight but when I limped home to google it, I was appalled.
It's hard to treat, usually occurs in much older people and there's no recovery.
The pain is worse than the bunions which are now aggravated by the padded orthotics the podiatrist gave me
I am utterly miserable. My sleep is so disturbed I having trouble staying awake - I made a stupid blunder on Friday morning which caused my new supervisor and her boss to hunt me down and ask what happened.
They have a new boss who reckons night shift cover is a luxury we can't afford to maintain and I'm travelling between a rented flat, a bomb site of a house and a workplace which increasingly feels hostile and unfriendly.
I'm thinking of resigning to concentrate on the house and me. Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0 -
Yey! Gingernutty! Good to see you!
(((((((((Gingernutty)))))))))))))
It seems to be the season for bad work vibes.Poor people.
Have they forgiven you for the mistake? Is it put-right-able?
Was it just human error, or a lack of training?

The mistake caused a lot of work for the other people during the day.
Although it was relatively minor, it was the sheer volume of extra calls it generated that will probably be mentioned at my appraisal which is due very soon.
I'm not enjoying the job, people all over the organisation just seem to complain all the time m, morale is poor, people just seem 'chippy' and begrudging and, because of my inheritance, I could carry on without a job and possibly spend a few years retraining.
In short, I don't like it, don't need it and I could give it up to do something else any time I liked.
I'm thinking of offering my resignation at my aporaisal. Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0 -
Gingernutty,
How great to see you!
Not that I would encourage someone to be reckless, but yes, give it up and take a break. It sounds like you have a lot on.
Code, great plan re the job. I love your dress.
Been up this morning doing washing and tidying..
I have blood doning later. They rang me up and asked so nicely. I like going but the days and venues are a lot more awkward than they used to be. They stopped doing the one near to work for H&S reasons, and now the venues are getting further and further away. Staff are lovely and always so appreciative.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. I love the idea that something I've spent hours agonising over is 'reckless'.
Trust me, I've weighed the pros and cons for ages. Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0
