WW - I can sympathise with that as even basic tasks that I can complete almost on auto-pilot become ten times harder if I know someone's watching me. I like Code's suggestion of reassuring yourself that it's because you're doing well.

Code - I don't know if I'm being dim but there doesn't seem to be a link to the dress. I love red patent so that would probably be my choice.

The bra issue - if you're going to be wearing a cardi which covers the straps, go for whichever is your favourite 'best' one.
It's one time I'm grateful for having small boobs as a strapless bra gives me enough support. What the rubbery grip round the band does to my skin is my biggest problem, I end up looking like I have burn marks!!

Izzy, you caught me, I forgot the link. I hate the big boobs thing for cute dresses, largely because bras for bigger boobs tend to have thicker straps and they're hard to hide. I'd love to go braless.

I know exactly what you mean about someone watching. I can be coding away a mile a minute, the second someone comes to watch what I'm doing, I not only forget how to code but it takes 3 attempts to enter my password.

I just posted this on the Motoring board, but thought some of you guys might be interested....

I got this from the Driver and Vehicles Standard Authority.
It might be quite interesting for anyone wanting to improve their driving..........

Live interview with driving behaviour expert Dr Lisa Dorn.

We're holding a live video interview on Periscope with Dr Lisa Dorn at 1pm on Thursday 24 November.

Lisa is the Associate Professor in Driver Behaviour at Cranfield University and also the author of ‘The DVSA Guide to Better Driving’.

Next week she’ll be answering any questions you might have on how you can become a safer, more competent and more confident driver.

Read the latest Despatch blog for more details of the event and how to take part

    Get ready to take part

Follow these steps if you want to take part.

Download the free Periscope app for iOS or Android.
Log in using either a Twitter account or phone number.
Search for 'dvsagovuk' in the app and follow our account.

    Taking part on the day

You'll be able to ask questions during the broadcast through the Periscope app.

You can also watch (but not ask questions) on the Periscope website if you can't use the app.

We expect the interview to last for around 20 minutes.

    If you can't take part

It's impossible to find a time that suits everyone. If you can't watch the interview live, you'll be able to watch it back later, or read a full transcript. We'll put links on this blog for you to do this.

If you can't watch the interview live, you can still ask a question. You can either:

    That looks a gorgeous dress.

Red can make an excellent contrast with blue, or if you'd like an alternative idea, white/ivory, as it seems quite a deep blue. Bear in mind this is coming from someone that has never had to think about "accessories" when dressing and only owns two pairs of shoes :rotfl:

Oh I'm a blubber bag at times!

E's dad sent me an email earlier... seems one of his clients passed on some tickets for the Champions League Final at Cardiff next June. VIP treatment and all that!

He's offered them to me because of my work and because I apparently make E happy and it'd be a nice date for us.

May have been unable to control weepies. :o

    Weep away! You're entitled to!

What a lovely gesture, on lots of levels!

Um, what's the Champions League? Is it Football or Rugby?

Champions League is football. Used to be simply called the European Cup.

Final this season is at the Millennium Stadium.

Now I have to hope at least one time I like makes the final! Please not Real Madrid and/or Barcelona!

    Oh, I understand European Cup!

Why do they have to keep changing the names of everything?

I referred to Dyfed and Gwent yesterday and nearly got my head bitten off! :D

If it helps whitewing, when I'm doing a new move, I tend to check out someone who looks like they've got it down, so maybe if you start to feel self-conscious you can reassure yourself that you obviously look like you know what you're doing.

And well done gitdog. You're obviously much aligned by that meanie elsien. It's clear you're really an angelic dog. :rotfl:

So I'm going to a wedding later on today. Wearing a navy and black dress similar to this. . I clearly didn't think this one through as I can't decide on shoes and handbag or indeed a bra.

Ruling out sandals because it's November and 1°C here, I could wear patent black shoes with a matching black handbag or red patent lower heels shoes with a red patent irregular choice bag. Red is quite bright but the red handbag is much bigger than my black one, or I could go Nude shoes and bag but that would mean thinner natural tights.

The bra issue. Obviously the dress has an illusion neckline so bra straps will show through. . I have some clear straps but they'll still show a bit, but I will have a black short cardi on anyway. Or I could go Strapless but that's always a risk.

    Help!!!

Eta. Forgot to link to the dress here

For next time what about blinging one of your bra straps Hot glue gun and sequins or buying a set from fleabay like these NEW Sexy Women Elegant Bling Square Clear Crystal Rhinestone BRA Strap

ER has deteriorated. Two carers 24/7 while they wait for a bed in a specialist home to see what's happening. Knocked parent for 6 - younger relatives dropping like flies is bringing on thoughts about the future. Getting older isn't fun.

Sorry folks, I'm having a whinging day.

Although it's not cold cold where I am, the Reynaud's has kicked in with a vengeance. Took an hour or after walking Gitdog for the fingers to return and the feet are still frozen. I foresee chilblains. :(
