  • I have just been sent this, & I thought I would share it with you lot as I know some of you are actually organised enough to make a Christmas cake a month early -

    Vodka Christmas Cake

Once again this year, I've had requests for my Vodka Christmas Cake recipe so here goes. Please keep in your files as I am beginning to get tired of typing this up every year! (Made mine this morning!!!!)

    1 cup sugar,
    1 tsp. baking powder,
    1 cup water,

    1 tsp. salt ,
    1 cup brown sugar,
    Lemon juice,
    4 large eggs,
    Nuts,
    1 bottle Vodka,
    2 cups dried fruit.

Sample a cup of Vodka to check quality. Take a large bowl, check the Vodka again to be sure it is of the highest quality then Repeat. Turn on the electric mixer. Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl. Add 1 teaspoon of sugar. Beat again. At this point, it is best to make sure the Vodka is still OK. Try another cup just in case. Turn off the mixerer thingy. Break 2 eegs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit. Pick the fruit up off the floor, wash it and put it in the bowl a piece at a time trying to count it. Mix on the turner. If the fried druit getas stuck in the beaterers, just pry it loose with a drewscriver Sample the Vodka to test for tonsisticity. Next, sift 2 cups of salt, or something. Check the Vodka. Now !!!! shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts. Add one table. Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find. Greash the oven. Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over. Don't forget to beat off the turner. Finally, throw the bowl through the window. Finish the Vodka and wipe the counter with the cat.
Deal with things as they are, not as they should be.

Hope you feel better soon Calley.

Thank you Ono. Just glad me and Action man are ill together :rotfl:

Mind you going in to whine mode. Just everything hurts including my lungs

Been on the sofa most of day just snuggled up. Action collie has been taken out twice today. But that was a massive struggle.

Hope everyone gets a decent nights sleep. And catch you tomorrow.

    Yours

Lesson is Wednesday evening, so I'm hopefully going to find out then when I tell everyone that were I American I would have voted for "none of the above." :rotfl:.

Since that's a bit of a cheat and I'm supposed to write a whole paragraph rather than just one sentence, I have also written a extra explanation of who I would have voted for as well, but the reasons are based around a very controversial topic, so not putting them here, even in Italian.

    Had anyone been watching Crazyhead?

Considering I'm well outside of the target demographic, I'm quite enjoying it. Comedy, demons and a main character whose social awkwardness has a certain familiarity. - what's not to like.

    Morning my lovelies,

    Guess who can't sleep:rotfl:

Action man was so sweet. I went to the loo and came down stairs. With 5 mins he knew I was not in bed and came down to check how I was. And said don't stay up to long. Awwwww how sweet been up for a couple of hours.

I suspect I wont be around much later as will have gone back to bed and fingers crossed will be asleep. I can dream :rotfl:

Hugs and squishes all round. And hope you slept better than me.

    Everyone take care

    Yours

OK, here's an anxiety related question I've been pondering. Does anyone find they've lost the ability to react instinctively to something rather than second guessing and overthinking and blaming a negative reaction on anxiety and fear rather than recognising that it might be your instincts telling you something isn't right? Or am I just talking nonsense again? :rotfl:

Not seen Georgie for a while. Hope she's OK.

I've never really thought about it in those terms code but actually that sounds very familiar. It's as if I've lost all sense of confidence in my own judgement.
