  • Big hugs ((((code)))) Wish I lived near by, I'd pop round for a cuppa and a good old crack to put the world to rights. Am feeling a bit unsettled myself

My Mam had her scan and was ok with the machine as it just covered her head, not full body like an MRI. She had a dye injected and was only in the machine for a couple of minutes.

Now I'm just on pins waiting for the results. :(

Hello melly! Nice to see you and your furries again :) x

(((Georgie))) When do the results come back?

    Love the animal photos Melly.

DA dog and I are going to put the electric blanket on (well, I am because Da dog has no thumbs) and have cuddles in the bed while Mr CP watches football results. It will get better. It will get better. It will get better.

It will get better code. Do you want to talk about it?
    Doggy cuddles are the best.

If anyone is watching the dog rescuers, the staffy pup is looking very familiar on the distraction front. Picture similar but 20kg heavier. And slower to learn. Much much slower to learn.....

I'm not sure code. Hopefully not too long, and hopefully fine.

DA dog snuggles sound just the ticket :)

Just watching parking wars....I reckon I'd make a good parking warden! Some of the excuses some of them are coming out with....

I feel like I've made a horrible mistake, ruined my life and want to go back to my safe old desk where I know what I'm doing and talk to my old colleagues. Nobody talks in there about anything except work. I can't stop crying!

I'm sorry it's been another hard day, Code.

Fwiw, I don't think it's unusual to feel like you've made a mistake in a new job, especially if you're someone like me who is generally quite happy in their comfort zone.
It's too early to know yet if it's beginners jitters or something more. Remind yourself if the reasons you left your other job and hang on in till you're inducted and properly busy.
What about breaks and lunchtime - no chats going on then?

It's ok to have a bit of a cry and an oh !!!! moment or two - I had the odd moment when I started my current job. Not helped by the staff team having a blazing row with the manager on day 3.
The important bit is to then pick yourself up and see if there's anything that might make tomorrow a little better. Are you computered yet?
