Tea - I hope the work thing goes okay and you don't get too much flak. Now that it's out of the way are you likely to be able to get an early night and get to sleep without worrying?

GBBO penguin I love Viennese whirls. I tend not to buy them very often, because I can easily eat the whole pack, but have decided to try to make some on Sunday. I know that they'll probably turn out really badly but am hoping that, seeing as I'll have the full recipe and won't be limited on time, they won't be too disastrous.
I'm still not entirely sure who I want to win and who I'm hoping goes next, which is quite strange because I normally make up my mind who my favourites are very quickly.
    End penguin

When I saw they were making Viennese whirls it really made me laugh as my Dad made some last week. I have to say, his were lovely and looked great.... although to be fair he didn't have the same time pressures!
    End.

Annoying, the person I am relying on for the big scary work thing is nowhere to be found (they don't work in this office, so I can't actually go and physically track them down lol). They need to do one tiny IT thing but I am completely scuppered without them. Fingers crossed they turn up soon so I can just get this sorted.

Good luck with the big scary work thing tea. Hope all goes to plan. :)

Talking about work things, I wonder how code is getting on? She was starting her new job wasn't she?

I'm off out on my bike again today as it's a nice day. Right people, I need some good ideas regarding where to put my fitness monitor. Wearing it on my wrist like usual doesn't measure anything very well as my hand is stationary on the handlebar. I know it's not steps I'm doing as such, but it has no other setting, and I want it to measure something as it's connected to my bounts app. It won't go round my ankle....even if it would, it would like like an electronic tag lol! :rotfl:
Do you have a pair of trousers, like combats, with a pocket at the knee? Would it work if it were in that pocket? It would get all the movement.

    Good luck, Tea!

    !

I wear padded cycling leggings and they have no pockets. I think we've come up with a solution, D threaded it through my laces on my trainers! It might look a bit strange, but I think it'll work!

Luckily D doesn't like VW's and neither do I. Usually he wants me to make whatever they've been making, but not this week. Although, I do want to try and make them just for the challenge, as I always think "surely they can't be that hard to do?"....but they probably are!

My favourites (not necessarily to win, just like them) are Selassi and the girl with dark hair and bright lipstick who came out with the classic line "can somebody grab my jugs for me please
    ". :rotfl:

    Penguin end.

I love both of those two Georgie. I should really like the brownie leader but I just can't take to her for some reason.

On your trainers sounds like it should work.
  • No I can't take to her either for some reason?
  • Best wishes for the big scary work thing tea.

I can't either, she seems false and a bit overly twee. I did have to laugh when something fell over when she was putting her showstopper together though and you could hear a gentle "Oh bother" in the background. IzHe and I commented that if that had happened to me it would've resulted in a rather long succession of beeps :D

I like Selasi, he is always so chilled out and just stands around eating!

Had my contact through for a new job. Money is great, although it's full time. Not sure I'm ready for full time yet :(
