It's turned into a "I may be past caring" work thing. Am working from home today, P cat is draped over my arm purring loudly (and dribbling on me).... it's Friday.... so not all bad :)
  • Talking the second car in for it's MOT! If my car failed, then I don't hold out much hope for this one lol! Then again, it might just sail through! :rotfl:

Thursday night was training night and we were doing off lead work. And the evening's learning curve?
If a Gitdog bounces up to and sticks his over enthusiastic nose in the face of the dog that seriously dislikes him, she will tell him off. If he is then stupid enough to do it again second time round, it's no use wimping round the room looking traumatised and going for the sympathy vote because It's His Own Silly Fault!
And although it was a little unkind of the trainer to call Gitdog a slow learner, aka "special" she may have had a point.

  • PM thread?

The car failed it's MOT on virtually the same thing as the other car, but this time on both sides. :(

Oh dear, Georgie. Hope it's not gonna cost a fortune to fix :(

That thread about someone having received a "really weird PM" - I don't know what's going on, but there's someone screenshotting emails they've been sending to the forum team here accusing some people of being other people and other sorts of tomfoolery.

    It's a bit odd.

You're best off out of it Lambyr, it's a bit like being in the playground.

I'll penguin the next bit, in case it worries anyone.

To briefly summarise, some posters believe there are cliques on here that target some users and get them banned. Some people set up AEs to get round bans, or to troll (that bit's true, because you can sometimes recognise a distinctive posting style.) They are now saying that some of these people are sending messages to new posters to encourage them to report and get people banned as well.
All I can say is, I've been on here for years and not had a problem. I think maybe it applies more those to who either stand their ground in a dispute, or like to be contraversial/"tell it like it is." Or people who are feeling a bit fragile, when things that would normally pass them by just get a bit too much to cope with. There are bullies, as there are in all walks of life, so some of it is how you deal with it. Of course I may feel differently if I was one of the people being picked on.
    End penguin.
I tend to work on the basis that it's an internet forum and life's too short, so if anyone is getting a bit silly towards me I just don't respond. Saves a lot of hassle in the long run.

Yep, some people definitely have too much time on their hands! Which I realise is a but hypocritical considering how much time I spend on the internet.... but I use it for looking at photos of cats, recipes I'll never cook but like the look of, beautiful shoes, new knitting patterns, and comments threads about randomly bad but slightly mesmerising tv shows (I'm looking at you Versailles :D).... and of course chatting to you lot :)
  • Eeeeep! I just had to go downstairs in the daylight! I use that term loosely because it consisted of me opening the front door and running back to hide behind the cupboard before it opened. My lovely letting agent managed to lock himself out so phoned me to let him back in. Rather anxious now!

On the subject of anxiety all of these secret pm conspiracies do not sit well with me. I did read the thread and have read others like it in the past, fortunately I don't know anything about it because only lovely people from here pm me but still, conspiracies and schizophrenia do not sit well together!

I think I need to colour pictures for a while...

PS. The David Icke comment made me giggle, Lambyr.

If I knew that the world would end tomorrow, I would still plant apple trees today - Martin Luther King
  • It's probably going to be at least £200 Lambyr

I know which thread you mean now, and it always makes me roll my eyes at the same posters and think "why are you rising to it?", just ignore it if possible, maybe that's not possible I know, as it affects different people in different ways, but don't start a thread about it, report it. Bullying makes me so angry.

I've said right from the start that a certain person (who shall not be named but is at the centre of it all) is a piece of work, a stirer, a trouble maker. He makes out he's the "saviour of MSE", but if he firmly believes these things, go about it quietly, no need to let everyone know. A lot of people (some I was quite surprised about actually) thought the sun shone out of his backside, and I wondered what they were seeing what I wasn't, or indeed what I could see but they couldn't.

Basically it all just leaves me shaking my head at it all. :(
