Still too hot!!
I want a storm *stamps feet*
ETA: I have loads of work to do, absolutely no idea how to do it or where to start, and my options seem to be a) ignore it all and play on the internet, b) complete panic. I think this job is beyond me.0 -
Thanks Pyxis
It's only every now and again, but feels like I want to kick my legs out. I eat plenty on that list, so doubt it's that, but it probably is time for another blood test to check on my medication levels etc.
Is it still sunny down there too tea, or just hot and muggy? It's quite overcast here today, and the heat is definitely dying down. It's good because I hate it when it's really humid, but I want the sun back!
My arm and my leg (the fall made my already pulled muscle on my thigh worse) are really aching today, and I have another bruise to add to my collection.0 -
Small steps tea. Try and break it down and focus on one bit at a time. Stops it from feeling quite so overwhelming. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

Sorry Georgie, I know it's not funny but your description of falling into a puddle really made me laugh. I hope the bruises aren't too sore.
I'm another one who's ridiculously clumsy, when I was a kid it got to the point that I'd go to A&E and the nurses on the desk would greet me with "Hello Iz, what have you done this time?"
It's still very rare for me not to have at least one bruise or burn somewhere on me. Which reminds me - I must get silicone guards for the oven shelves!!0 -
Yep, I'm quite accident prone too. I walk into the side of the bed pretty much every day and have a permanent bruise on my leg from it. It's not like it's even a tight space or anything! I burnt my hand on the steering wheel the other day :eek:0

It's ok Iz, we had a good giggle about it too! Bruises aren't too bad, just quite stiff. Silicone guards for the oven shelves sound good, I hadn't realised you could get such a thing! I probably could do with some of them too! First name terms with the A&E nurses, that's some going lol! :rotfl:
Ouchee tea, hope you didn't burn it too bad? I remember when we had a car with half leather seats, it used to be so uncomfortable in summer! They do get ridiculously hot!
D showed me that pic on Facebook elsien, it's funny because it's true!0 -
Afternoon all!
Right, this heat business isn't funny any more! E was over last night and I decided to leave the fan on cos it wouldn't be fair on her otherwise... now I know she can sleep like a newborn puppy regardless of how loud that thing is... me on the other hand, not so much.
She's lucky I love her or I'd have started "accidentally" poking her. So again, very little sleep... feeling quite the zombie!
On a positive note, my blog post from yesterday got retweeted by Carers UK and Age UK so my ramblings must have been some use to someone!
Haha Georgie! I used to be quite accident prone. Suppose I still can be sometimes! But I no longer seem to be covered in bruises or strange scratches so I figure I have got better. Hope you're not feeling the effects of your latest accident for too long. Sounds a bit painful!
I do spill coffee with shocking regularity though - fortunately, not usually on myself!
Iz... never managed to get on first name terms with the people at the A&E. That is some accomplishment! She would always like to say,
Why change the past when you can own this day?0 -
I'm another clumsy one, there seems to be a pattern developing here. At work I am the one that bounces off furniture that is in exactly the same place it has been for years
Lambyr, I watched Girlhouse last night and oh dear :rotfl: I really shouldn't watch films that use computer / networking things as major plot devices as I just get cross at how wrong they get everything! :rotfl:Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230
