I don't trust the water supply around here. On three different occasions since I've lived here, the water that comes out of the tap has been brown.
Okay, that makes perfect sense and don't worry, it's not at all irrational. Well, it might be but if it is it makes enough sense to me not to seem irrational.
I prefer water cold so try to remember to leave a jug in the fridge. On the many, many occasions I forget to top it up I add ice to drinks instead - presuming of course that it's not one of the many, many occasions when I've forgotten to buy/make ice cubes.
This has also reminded me that I've been saying for about 2 years that I'll get a filter jug but still haven't got round to it. I did go and buy a nice tower fan at lunchtime though which comes with a remote control - I'm quite looking forward to the amusement value of being that lazy that I don't even get out of bed to turn the fan up/down/on/off0 -
One of the advantages of living here is nice, soft tap water. I actually quite like water at room temperature.
Ono - the company I work for is an offshoot of a bigger company and HR goes through them. This is being handled internally and its just been a s***show. The trouble is, they're trying to save money so HR want to get rid of the position. The person who should have been sticking up for the position is throwing his toys out the pram about other things so didn't bother to do the work, meaning they decided the position wasn't required after all, so they've had to start over. Basically, I'm in this position because someone sat on the paperwork for 8 months rather than actually doing it. And I said I wasn't going to but these things need to be done. I'm so fed up. It's triggered my 'What is the point, I might as well not bother, life is pointless and everything is s**!' mood again. I am seriously a 50 cent bus ride from a total meltdown, which will either take the form of crippling depression (I can't even get a GP appointment to discuss this ) or I'm going to explosively lose it at the manager causing the problem.
I haven't heard back about the interview yet but had a dream last night that I didn't get it and they wrote horrible things on the feedback form.

Hello all i seem to be addicted to pokemon go, i think i;ve walked nearly 15k in 2 days! Me and Swain keep going on late night pokewalks, its nice to have a game we both enjoy and can play together. I even went to where i work yesterday just to catch the damn things! Phone is on charge atm then i plan to go to the park and catch more! Not liking the heat, managed to get sunburnt yesterday but have factor 50 on today (Swain and his mum are both ginger so they have the best sunscreen! :rotfl: )This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Afternoon my lovelies,
thank you for all my lovely birthday wishes :j
This morning went to a local wood and sat in the picnic area and had an early lunch bought from a supermarket. nice and cool. Went for a little walk though I was going to have to fireman lift husband back to the car. The heat and short walk did him in. Poor Lamb.
I am at home as it was just too hot and husband was worn out and wanted the loo!!! so took him home.
I have had a couple of treats so will be back on the wagon in the morning.
Talking of bananas you can chop them up and freeze them. Then blitz them straight from the freezer and its like ice cream. Just add something to give it flavor. Peanut butter, cocoa, coffee etc. A nice cool treat which is fairly good for you.
Everyone please keep hydrated, Don't think I drank enough yesterday as just as I was dropping off to sleep got a headache.
cool hugs, squishes and handshakes to all that need them.
Yours
CalleyHope for everything and expect nothing!!!

It started raining and I got over-excited - it stopped less than a minute later. If anything it's now even hotter.
Got the last brownies of term tonight - they're going to be hot and tired (as am I!). I do love it but will be glad when tonight is done and I go home and collapse in a heat. Got tomorrow afternoon off work so that's something to look forward to.0 -

Got tomorrow afternoon off work so that's something to look forward to.I have fond memories from being Rainbow, Brownie and Guide. I started guides as the youngest one there, when i left i was the oldest one there! I used to help out at Rainbows when i was getting one of my badges. Loved it.
Wouldn't mind looking into going back into it actually, problem is work and having different shifts every week so can;t commit to it currently. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
It's very flexible MU. Everyone is a volunteer and they fully appreciate the fact that people have jobs, families, commitments, health issues, etc. There's so many levels of involvements - from the commissioners that run whole regions, unit helpers who can offer one night a month, people who run occasional workshops (eg. circus skills!), trainers.... and so on. If you were interested I'm sure they'd be able to find you a role that fitted.
Hopefully that doesn't come across as me pressuring you! Just wanted you to know that shifts etc. don't completely rule it out.0
