Georgiegirl256 wrote: »Bizarre latte like drinks? Curious now!
Adding on to your list above, haven't seen Melly around for abit. She been posting on other threads, so I'm assuming she's ok?
It'll probably turn out it's not that bizarre at all, but I don't know anyone else who does it.
Nothing spectacular but she has milk microwaved and then a spoonful of instant coffee added once it's heated up. So it's basically a weak latte without the foam/froth - except for any foaming from the actual microwaving bit. Maybe this is what people did in the 60s and 70s before Costa and Starbucks came along?
Mum's retired to her room so I'm now in my bed. It seems much cooler tonight (yay!) although I don't know how much that'll change once I turn the fan off. Not sure if I've the energy to watch a movie tonight, so think I might stick on an episode of Deadwood which is the current box set I'm working my way through and then try and get some sleep.
Hope everyone who has been struggling to sleep in the heat recently is able to have a decent night's rest! I've been feeling pretty drained today but have powered through on caffeine (which I know is one of the worst things to consume when it's hot, but needs must!).She would always like to say,

Hi guys.. I unpicked the double rent request, it was cos my old agency man had been paid by le for the month of june, the day that my new agency took over, and he hasn't paid the landord and was trying to pi it on me, so new agency is going to try and sort it out. but in a wierd coincidal way, my back mostakenly took the double rent out today of £1400.. they admit it is their error but it will take a week to clear and I'm about to go into unauthorised overdraught as a result, so they had better pay the interest as it was their mistake.
This housing situation is making me feel like I have no control.. new agency sent me another document to sign, citing the get out clause of being able to be evicted at anytime, with 2 months notice.. I feel sick with worry as to when I',m going to get evicted, the rolling contract ends dec 18th so I will be homeless a week before xmas if they dont renew my tenancy. I can't think f anything else appart from this housing fear, and I've been scrubbing my flat forthe inspection next friday.. I'm so dreading it. I've really hirt my belly and this latest hernia has doubled in size from all the cleaning, which is scaring me too.. I stayed up all night taking most of my wall stickers off with rubbing alcohol but I pulled chunks of paint off so I'll have to polyfill and repaint that wall.. I have no balance , my belly situation is precarious and I cant lift my arms above my head easily, due to the arthritis,in spine and shoulders, it causes me a lot of pain too. so no idea how I'm going to paint..m<y care ag3ecny do the bare minimum, they wont clean my shower, the marks on vwalls and cubboards, they just wash up. i just have to force myself to do it. I feel so resigned to my fate and in despair. Many thanks to all who contribute on MSE0 -
I'm so sorry that you're feeling like this, faerie and all your other troubles. It must be awful and I can't imagine how bad things seem. I wish I could offer you some practical advice but I don't know what there is.
You say your care agency do the bare minimum - can you ask your local authority for a re-assessment of your care needs under the Care Act? Surely if you've got so many physical problems and they're affecting your mental health they have to provide you with some extra support than what you're getting? I'd hope so anyway.
I know this might seem ridiculous but could you write to your MP about your situation? He/she may not be able to do anything directly but a good MP will advocate on your behalf. I've asked my MP for help before with something - though admittedly not nearly as serious as this - and he wrote a letter, raising my concerns to the group responsible and they changed their mind on something. If you involve your MP then maybe the tenancy agency or whatever will feel under scrutiny enough to at least renew your tenancy and give you a chance to take your mind off that?
I don't know whether it'd work but it might be worth a try? Your MP might be able to do other things, like get in touch with the council or something to get you better and more appropriate care. She would always like to say,

Faerie, rolling tenancies don't have an end date. That's why they're rolling tenancies rather than fixed term ones. Sounds to me like the agency are making it up as they go along. Please don't sign anything without getting it checked independently first because the agency are being very misleading.
And you won't be homeless the week before Christmas because in the worst case scenario and they do give you notice they still have to take you to court to get you out which generally adds on a couple more months. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Hey Georgie. Is it 7dw who has restless leg syndrome? Maybe she has some idea.
I think I'll join you lot in the bubble wrapped accident prone corner. If there's something on the floor I'll trip over it, I bump into furniture that hasn't moved and door handles, I've broken my toes multiple times. I am always covered in bruises and once I managed to drop a knife in such a way that it stabbed my foot.
Ok, I've dropped my bag of crazy. I was on fb earlier and noticed someone in my people you may know bit. It was someone I have a somewhat complicated past relationship with but thought I was on level terms with now. Then suddenly he disappeared from it and isn't on the list anymore. So it looked like he hit the 'I don't know this person' thingy. But did he come up because he looked at my profile? His number isn't in my phone and I don't have his email address. I'm all paranoid now.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Somone ust ;inked me to this: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-3700960/Woman-31-reveals-obsession-Hello-Kitty-cost-30-000-including-buying-150-handbags-50-cuddly-toys.html
Told Swain and he made me promise if we get our own place it won;t be Hello Kitty-fied :rotfl: It amuses me as i have exactly the same bedding! Theres a lot of negative comments but personally i dont see the harm its encouraged her to learn Japanese so she can move over there to teach. I'd love to go to Japan one day. That is what is so suspicious, as they are stating in this supliment contract that it ends on dec 18th but it's not a fixed assured tenancy contract so my landlord can give me 2 months notice at any time.. I just got another email from then at 1am pressurising me to sign the document.. How are they allwed to send emails 24/7? It's making it impossible for me to switch off from my eviction fears and making my paranoia magnified, exasperating my PTSD and severe anxiety arounf being homeless.. I have never had emails in the middle of the nioght before and this has been going on since my landlord changed agencies a month ago.. does anyone know if it is legal ?Have any of you had lots of emails from landlords in the middle of the night. I feel like they are constantly reminding me that this is not my home, and my paranoia says they are trying to drive me out, and it's making me feel like I'm the bad guy here.
.. I'm so freaked out about this nocturnal emails, and it's another night of severe insomnia, They have sent me 13 emails and 5 phone calls in the month since they took over.. it seems really excessive.. I'm a wily fox and I like to fly under the radar with landlords, but they are shining a magnifying glass at me.. it's horrible.
I've finally got an appt after 5 years, to see a gynae dr tomorrow who I'm praying will give me some answers as to why I have no sexual function and in constant excrutiating genital pain. .. I'm dreading it because I have to face the damage , and go through the history of what happened to me 5 years ago which will really upset me.. I need a good nights sleep but I'm wide awake with adrenaline and rage towards this agency/landlord nightmare. Many thanks to all who contribute on MSE0 -
Would Citizens Advice be able to offer any guidance, faerie?
It's 4am and I'm wide awake. Some descriptor that I cannot repeat here decided 1:30am was a good time to let off some fireworks.
Haven't been able to get back to sleep since. She would always like to say,

Faerie, a lot of the emails are automated ones so try not to panic.
We got emailed the documents that needed signing, and then reminders what seemed like every half hour afterwards!
They are a massive company so definitely aren't focussing on you. Try to get them to do any repairs that need doing and you'll soon realise how little they actually care about your tenancy!
Have you spoken to shelter yet?0 -
(((faerie))) definitely agree with trying to speak to shelter or CAB for some practical advice. I really hope things seem a bit clearer soon. I'm sure it's large organisation inefficiency rather than anything personal but I do know it doesn't seem like that when you're the one in the middle of it.
I didn't get home till 1am and I could cry I'm so tired - I am not cut out for gigs on school nights..... so very, very old :rotfl:.
It did rain a bit last night and is finally a bit more comfortable here today. Although still well into 20s by 8am so this afternoon could be hot again.0
