I know! This is some serious finger-tingling, shaky arms, "Oh my!" stuff for me!

A friend who has some contacts in indie film/TV has been asked to do the same thing. Apparently there's a couple of spots available and he recommended me for one of them.

I must buy him a cake if I get the job!

Lambyr, that sounds very exciting and definitely a good way to get over being tired!!!

Tea - I love Shed 7. I'm still trying to convince IzHe to let me paint a big '7' on the side of our shed :D

Haha, you should do it Iz! They are great - and so good live. Think I've seen them 4 or 5 times over the last 20 years and they were as good last night as when I first saw them at festivals.

Shed Seven, now there's a blast from the past! Although I don't think I could even name one of their songs tbh :o

That's exciting news Lambyr! :j Well done! :T

Where's the sunshine gone? :( I knew ordering that bench (which is coming today apparently) would bring on the rain....

Thank you! :) I should probably give you all a bit of a thank you! It was encouragement and support from here that got my bum in gear to do the website, which is where I put up my screenplay and a short story that convinced the right people to give me this chance!

    So yeah, thank you! :D

And do you wanna swap places? The sun is out in force here again. I'm a mucky, sweaty mess again and I'm positive it's hotter than yesterday again. *grumble, grumble*

Yes please! I love it in our back garden when it's sunny and warm as it is a real sun trap. I could get my washing pegged out without fear it might rain again, and it could build this seat whilst enjoying the lovely weather.

V sunny and hot again here now - which I now I should be more pleased about as it's nearly the weekend, but all I can focus on is the amount of house cleaning I need to do when I get in at 6pm.

So you mainly make the coffee with hot water & add a little cold milk? What if you like a lot of milk, but still want hot coffee? It's one of those things that never occur to you, that there are so many ways of making a simple cup of instant coffee! I just presumed most people would use the microwave method these days. Oh, it's so much simpler just to make a pot of tea!
Mind you, I have heard strange rumours that some people don't use a teapot. How on earth can you make a proper cup of tea without a teapot? I am proper old school, I don't even use tea bags.

(there should be a selection of confused & winking smileys above, to show it's true but still a bit tongue in cheek!)
Deal with things as they are, not as they should be.

SJ - you sound like my parents who insist tea be made in a pot and that they can tell the difference.

People have milk steamers and you can get the home coffee machines that make lattes and such. I don't drink tea or coffee.

:rotfl: at the English people complaining about rain.

Panic over. I think it was a combination of 'Oh my god, has he been looking at my profile', panic (will he think I was looking at his profile) and rejection (he doesn't even want to acknowledge that he knows me, not that I want to be his facebook friend but who doesn't want to be picked?) . Plus, as much as I love Mr CP and would never cheat, its sometimes nice to think someone might be interested. The curse of the unpretty fat girl.

Well I personally rarely drink instant coffee (I know, lar-de-dar indeed!). My usual is ground coffee in a cafetiere. Takes a bit longer but I've yet to find an instant coffee that comes close to it in flavour!

And cos I'm doing this for the taste of the coffee, I don't add that much milk to it. No more than you'd find in the average little pot of milk you get at a cafe. I don't add sugar either.

Obviously though my mum prefers your method cos that's what she has. A mug of hot milk with coffee in it. I'm not adverse to drinking milky coffee - I like a nice cappuccino, but we've not got the equipment to make good ones in the house. Nescafe do these sachets of instant mocha and cappuccino using dried milk. I like the mocha one enough, although it's more like a bitter hot chocolate than a proper mocha. The cappuccino one is satisfactory but nothing to get too excited about.

I don't have a teapot. I'm not a tea drinker though. Mum is but she's happy enough with water from the kettle. :D
