You must be Lambyr, as I think you're the only place in the North to get nice weather today!

D just got some weird texts on his work phone. Started off with "Lisa is that you?",
    "No"
    "Are you a woman?"
    "No"
"A NAN" (think they meant a man!), then another one saying
"What's your name and where you from?"

Told D to text back asking "is that Cilla Black?", but he just left it, and there's been no more texts. Nobody knows that number apart from work, so probably just one of these con artists random dialing.

Yep! I'm convinced. I'm gonna keep my eyes out for the black helicopters now that I've rumbled them. Not like I'm getting any sleep at the moment :rotfl:

Those texts sound like a con I've heard of. They do the whole wrong number bit, then for random reasons pull the whole "What's your name?" get talking and start getting flirty, then try and get someone to call a premium rate number or visit some website to see "photos" that just happens to have a small membership fee. :D

It reminded me of one I read about the other day. This guy had this woman getting increasingly flirty with him and asking for money, and just led her on by quoting lyrics to Adele songs! :rotfl: D said should he text back and wind them up, but decided he cba in the end up.

Hahaha! Loving the summer stories! They actually do make make feel better!

Harmless (to me) penguin. Talks about slugs, do not read if scared or squeamish about them.

I just found a huge slug on a lettuce leaf! Because I am weird slugs are one of my favourite creatures so this has made my night. I popped him on my arm and let him crawl around (like I said, I'm weird but I adore them) and then woke WaSp up to see (he mumbled and rolled his eyes). Thennnn, because the little thing needed saving I braved it down to the front door all alone at 3am to put him on a bush! I won't leave the house for myself at all but a small slug in danger? I'll risk it! I am not sure whether to laugh or cry at myself. Have a good life, little slug, thank you for making me feel better!

    Morning my lovelies,

Well not a good day today. firstly my phone went for a swim in a glass of water. So pulled a spare out that has been sitting in the drawer for two years. Opened up my inbox and found loads of messages from my ex.

I have no idea but being a dumb bunny that I am. I started to read them and its really upset me. I am sat here in tears now. I know really silly. I have deleted them all now.

Anyhow WaS how sweet of you to save a slug.

Thought about doing some stuff in the garden got as far as getting the stuff out the shed and went can't be arsed :rotfl:

Was suppose to see lego man last night but he said he was shattered after working away and driving back yesterday so could we cancel. I said yes fine. As I was feeling like a dish rag after driving to see step daughter and grand daughter. I asked him later in the evening if he had a nap. He said no he had gone and cut the lawn!!!!

Feel really rubbish now. Will go around see husband in a while. As I need some company at the moment.

Hugs and squishes and handshakes all round for everyone. You will find me curled up in the fort eating an icecream or two LOL!!!

    Yours

    Calley

Will be joining you, Calley. I have a hangover after one glass of wine, only got a few hours sleep and my get up and go has well and truly got up and gone.

Deleting the messages was a good choice. And don't take it personally about Lego man - I've had times where I'm tired and don't want company but still pother round the garden getting jobs done and a bit of fresh air. Sometimes it's more about mental tiredness and switch off time than physical.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

I did not take it personally. just told him he could have come and done mine :rotfl: and I will eat all the strawberries I bought to share with him :D

Could do with a nap. Getting upset has worn me out :(
