Have any of you computer nerds (said with affection of course! :p ) been trying out Pokemon Go?

D mentioned it the other day, and my first reply was "no, because I'm not 12!", but then he was eager to go out on a walk, and so of course I've got to encourage that as he does very little exercise. So, off we went, trying not to look obvious, and wondering if everyone we passed with their phone out was playing it too! :o

He couldn't get the hang of it, and by the time we'd walked up what must be the steepest hill in the county, we'd had enough and he deleted the app. :D

Does seem like a good idea for getting people doing some exercise and getting out and about though I guess.

    I have, because I'm 37 with the mindset of a 9yr old :D

Technology glitches aside, I love it :rotfl:.

I hadn't heard of Pokemon go, but it seems to be creating one or two user interface issues.

I have taken some time owing this afternoon. Which means tomorrow's workload will be horrible but right now I'm vegetating and I don't care.

I am about to attempt to haul Gitdog home from parent. It may take some time as he's tending more towards collapsing in a sunbathing heap than any actual walking. He took up residence at the canoe club yesterday (the sandwiches may have helped) and I couldn't get the !!!!!! back up on his feet for love nor money.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

I never got into Pokemon either, infact I've never got into any computer game. I just can't get into games where I need to sit around and spend hours on them, so any game which encourages activity is good in my book. I do like the concept of Pokemon Go, but as I haven't got a scooby about it, it hasn't really grabbed me.

Tea, D's the same, an adult with the mindset of a 9 year old! :rotfl: Have you found many yet?

    Enjoy your vegetating elsien!

I'm with Gitdog on this one - it's too hot to do anything other than lollop :D

I love the collection side of it Georgie. That's always the part that appeals in xbox games too - give me an achievement/medal and I'm happy for the day :rotfl:. I'm sure the novelty will have worn off for me in a week but hey, if it gives me free entertainment for a few days then great :D

    Afternoon/evening my lovelies,

Starting to cool down a bit here. Pokemon go is no different to geocaching. But pokemon go is aimed at game players and young people.

go to talk lego man in to going geocaching. There is suppose to be one on my dads land. I had to explain what it was about. He being a typical farmer could not it get :rotfl:

Might go for a walk later when it cools off a bit more.

Right tea time if I don't come back its because the dried pasta I have went out of date 2 years ago :rotfl:

    Yours

    Calley

Ate my supper on my garden bench, which is not comfortable, rusty and in dire need of replacement, but it is out in the sun since today is the summer I was determined to make the most of it :rotfl:. Am expecting thunderstorms by this time tomorrow!

On the weather earlier they said 34-35C in the midlands during the day tomorrow, so those of you in that part of the world be aware!
