Morning team WaS. It is so humid here - its like being in a swimming pool. My hair has gone like Monica from Friends when they went to Barbados.

Meal went ok once I got there although I probably overdid the upbeat a bit. Food was a bit disappointing though. It wasn't an especially posh place so I just wore a very short dress/long top over jeans as normal.

DA dog is being incredibly cuddly at the moment.

Glad last night went ok code. Bless DA dog, what a cutie! :)

Fab present Calley! Anything to do with the seaside I love, so I think that's fab!

Because our garden is looking nice now, D wanted to buy some garden furniture too. But like you ono, it'll probably be autumn/winter before we do! Besides, we don't sit out there that much tbh. We had an argument about a garden shed of all things yesterday, so I'm leaving him to it.

    ((((Pyxis))))

Ok, where's all this sunny warm weather I've been hearing about? Granted, we had our fair share a few weeks back, but I want it back! Maybe not 30 odd degrees worth, but a little bit at least! I want to go out on my bike again, but at the moment it looks like it might piddle down. :(

    Hello all!

Yes, the doggy chaperone. I believe the dog may have thought to herself "Hmm, the Tall One is giving all her attention to the Occasional One. It must be something about that spot! If I pop myself in there the Tall One will give me the attention!"

Yes, in my mind my dog calls me "The Tall One" - mum is "The Short One" and E is "The Occasional One".

Bit tired today. Couldn't sleep last night so ended up watching a film. Rather than do my usual which is cycle through Amazon, Netflix and Sky for two hours then realise I'm too tired to start watching a film, I went to Amazon and picked the first thing from the Horror section.

It was a film called "Muck" which seems a reasonable title. I have no idea what that film was about. If I were cynical, I'd suggest that the guy who made it just wanted to get twenty-something women to take their clothes off and run around in some mud. I discovered afterwards the film was funded by a Kickstarter campaign and had it's "world premiere" at the Playboy Mansion, so I think any cynicism may be quite apt in this case.

Still if people actually coughed up $250,000 to fund that then some of my film and story ideas should be worth billions.

CD - this may totally not be for you, so apologies if it isn't but I started playing online games several years back (it's where my little elf avatar comes from!) and I've met a few lovely people through it. Not actually in-person admittedly but there's one guy who's like my virtual best friend now who I speak to almost every night via TeamSpeak and we get on really well. And being part of a team and everything in the game really helped at times. I thought I'd throw it out there. It's not really a get out and do things activitiy which seems to be more what you want but you can expand your social circle a bit and it did wonders for me!

WaS - Sorry about the weather. If it helps at all, I'm feeling it as well. Think I woke up two or three times last night desperate for a drink cos I had sweated everything out. Yucky. I know it's quite a bit worse for you but I can join you in feeling discomfort at least!

Faerie - I really wish I could say something to help. I'm really sorry things are so difficult for you right now. Is there any way of getting a mental health support worker or advocate who can help you with finding a new place?

WW - Good to hear ER has been moved to rehab, although not so good she's gone downhill. You're doing an amazing job though in looking after her.

D does that, and it drives me bonkers! It's like "just either put something on or go to bed and let me have the Tele so I can catch up on things I've recorded", or "just bloody pick something!!"

It's a little bit muggy here, but not even a peek of the sun. :(

    Tea,

I was like that yesterday. I woke after a really bad nights sleep due to the heat. My back was killing me after doing a small amount in the garden the day before and cherry on started TOTM :j

A shower and pain killers and I was fine :T

Mind you I am sat in the living room doing nowt and my skin is just leaking :rotfl:

Will go and put on a dress as in leggings and a t-shirt at the moment.

Please everyone take care. Drink plenty of fluids.

    Yours

    Calley

:rotfl: I'm not impressed with myself when I do it!

It's easy enough when E is here cos I just let her pick, and there's usually something that she wants to see - last weekend it was Spectre and we had a bit of extra time so she just picked a film called Unfriended at random, this weekend it was Jurassic World.

But when I'm on my own... well I've seen most of what these services call classics or modern greats (I used to watch a lot of films) so I'm usually looking around among the obscure titles and it's hard to commit!

And then when I do just go "Right, this'll do!" I end up watching last night's dross. :rotfl:

Me and D for the main have very different likes. He likes anything with guns, explosions, war films, end of the world films and zombie films. I like mainly anything but them lol!

I watched an interview with Simon Pegg last night, and now want to watch The Worlds End....which I'm aware sounds very much like the kind of film D likes and I don't, but this is different, and has enough comedy in it to appeal to me. It's something that appeals to both of us, oh, and horror does too, love horror movies!

Have you seen the other films in the Cornetto Trilogy georgie?

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_Flavours_Cornetto_trilogy

If you haven't (and you enjoy The World's End) then you'll probably like the others too. They are quite similar - so you'll either like them all or not like them all :D
