I have tea! I've watched Shaun of the Dead 2-3 times, Hot Fuzz is good, but probably my least favourite of the trilogy.

My top tip - don't read Simon Pegg's autobiography! He came across as really arrogant and it's ruined the films for me :rotfl:.

Thanks for the warning! I can imagine that he does, he does tend to come across like that in interviews sometimes.

I hadn't realised until last night that he co-wrote the screenplay for the new Startrek film. I'm not a fan of ST so that's probably why!

Funny you should say that Lambyr - I was watching Hairspray with my sister and niece at the weekend and we all thought life would be much brighter if there was more spontaneous dance routines :D

Anyone seen the new Ghostbusters yet? I'd like to see it but am useless at actually getting to the cinema when things are out... so I'll probably see it when it's on TV in about 6 years.

tea - funny you should say that as in my teens I thought I was missing out. I was obviously mixing with the wrong people because, in my circle, people didn't spontaneously break into song and dance :( :rotfl:

I think I've been to the cinema maybe 2 or 3 times in the last 5 years. I quite often see trailers that I think look good but I never seem to get round to going. I do love the original ghostbusters, so am wary about a remake but I'll give it a go :D

Am with you on comedy films - I don't think my sense of humour translates into films that easily!

I have no idea what that film was about. If I were cynical, I'd suggest that the guy who made it just wanted to get twenty-something women to take their clothes off and run around in some mud. .
And this is a bad thing? :rotfl:

I'm not much of a horror fan, there are a few that I like - Near dark, Let the right one in (this is IMO amazing) and Ginger snaps, plus some others that I'm not sure if they count (A company of wolves, Pan's labyrinth )- but most of those I've seen provoke a "hmmm?" reaction more than anything else.

I can be a bit guilty of being unable to choose what to watch, which considering how full my Sky box is is silly.

I suffer from this as well. I get six free tickets to Vue with my bank account each year. Two months left until they expire and I have five left - I managed to get to Star Wars but that was all :o

I'm not really interested in the new Ghostbusters film. I can imagine that I'll have a major bout of nostalgia-driven prejudice against it cos I love the original (and I even like the sequel, though I may be in the minority there). I also wasn't impressed with the trailer. The jokes didn't seem to work for me.
    !

    Basically that ^^^^

I'm not really a fan of Melissa McCarthy. I feel she tries too hard to be funny, but fails miserably.

I also loved the original, so feel it has a lot to live up to.
