Well, it's warm here today. Apparently we are going to be about 30-32 degrees (depending on which weather report you watched), it usually is abit cooler here on the coast....cooler lol! Shame it's only going to last a day or two though.

Sorry you're suffering WaS. :( I'm glad in a way the heat wave isn't going to last long though, for people like you who suffer badly with the heat. My Mam doesn't cope well with heat, she hates it. I wish I'd bought that bottle I saw in the charity shop now, it was from Disney (I saw loads of these bottles whilst in America, they're everywhere!) and had a fan on top. You fill it with ice cold water and it sprays at you.

Sorry to hear about ER WW. Hopefully now they're treating the infection, she'll be on the road to recovery. :)

Did you catch any Pokemon ono and Welly? I've downloaded the geocaching app, so might have a go at that.

Am currently debating whether or not to go out on my bike or not? I've somehow managed to pull a muscle at the top of my thigh, it's been niggling for days. :(

What was the film Lambyr? The camgirl stalker one, not the "naked women running around in the mud" one :rotfl: If it's on Amazon or sky I might give it a look.

I slept badly last night, not due to the heat but I was really uncomfortable and achy. I was definitely tired enough and an hour's walk, even with stops to capture pidgeys and weedles :D , should have been enough exercise, it's more than I get most days.

    Hi All,

Those who are suffering with the heat should come and work where I do, the air conditioning is Arctic in here today!!

I've been very grateful for the weather the past few days (sorry!!) as I was sitting in a field in Suffolk (Latitude festival) and it would've been a lot less fun if it'd been wet and muddy.

I've caught up on too much to even begin to try individual replies to everything but welcome CD, I hope you're feeling less lonely now, and if anyone wants me I'll be asleep in a corner somewhere.

I unfortunately have to head down the motorway shortly. And am very likely to be travelling back at rush hour. This is a shame as my house is quite cool at the moment - windows and curtains shut to keep the warm air out .
I also finally collared my neighbour who is very happy for me to go and weed whenever I like. Glad I didn't upset him.

    Afternoon my Lovelies,

sending cool thoughts to everyone that needs them including my self :rotfl:

Lambyr I have to admit I watch loads of naff films in all genres . But sometimes you find a diamond in the rough :D.

    Penguin about weight/ED

I did something really silly and wandered over to the fitness board. OMG how rude some people are. What is wrong with people just because you are over weight does not mean you are dumber than a bag of spanners. I was told to walk to lose weight . I never asked about losing weight but was more interested in fitness and Flexibility. You don't need to be thin to have Flexibility. And because I have a bad back and about 5 stone over weight thats the cause. Umm had it since I was 15 years old and 4 stone lighter.

I know what a healthy diet is. But with food issues its not as simple to say stop shoving it in your mouth. No wonder people are reluctant to ask for help with all the fat shaming going on. And people who have never had a issue with food to understand it. The extra weight I carry has been coming on over the last 16 years. I admit I lost about 3 stone about 3 years ago and put about two of it back on through binge eating due to anxiety and stress and depression.

But I feel now is the time to sort it out. I mentioned something in passing about my weight to lego man and he said I am fine and likes me the way I am. Umm not, you are 6ft tall and I am stone and half heavier than you and 5ft 4. I am starting to come around to the fact that he likes me for me.

I know I will never be skinny not sure it will suit my frame but really do need to loose at least 4 stone.

    Penguin End

Totally different subject. its my birthday tomorrow and I know lots of people don't celebrate or do anything special. I am racking my brains to think of something to do tomorrow that is not too costly. Or is going to be an issue due to the heat.

Right I am off to melt in to a poodle on the floor :rotfl:

Oh I just grab some ice poles from the freezer. Anyone fancy one?

    Yours

    Calley

It's called Girl House. It was in my Sky planner - I tend to download movies in bulk to watch later - so it might still be on there.

I was reasonably impressed, though I should probably add a caveat that my expectations for films of that type are so low that being impressed might not be a stellar endorsement!

You do kinda have to do the old suspending disbelief thing (like watching this supposed computer genius using what appears to be a crowbar on networking equipment...) but yeah, I kinda liked it overall. The villain may just be every stereotype ever rammed into one person though!

Thank you, with the power of the internet I have told my Sky box to download it. I'm kind of interested in how the film maker portrays the cam girls, but if it goes into stalker / slasher early on I'm likely to get bored quite fast, even if there are boobs :rotfl:

And .... when I was wiring the cat5e before we took over this office last year (theoretically I'm a programmer, but I tend to do the "IT infrastructure" type jobs as I own all the kit from doing my own home and no-one else can be arsed :rotfl: ) , in addition to the krone punchdown tool, and continuity tester for RJ45 connections, screwdrivers, spanners, stanley knife etc, my toolbox did in fact have a crowbar in it. More from inertia than anything else, I hadn't taken it out from a job at home where I was levering skirting board off. I didn't actually use it for any computing related task

I'm always kind of rubbish at knowing what to do for my birthday so generally end up just going to the pub or having people round.

Have you got any woods or a beach near to you for a picnic?

If you'd rather be indoors to escape the hot weather, could you put on your favourite films and treat yourself a facial/manicure/general pampering?

Also, reply to your penguin It never ceases to amaze me that people think it's perfectly acceptable to tell fat people that it's all their fault and treat them as though they're complete an utter idiots who are incapable of working out that eating less and moving more will lead to weight loss. I'm sure I've said it before but it's about as much help as telling an anorexic that they just need to eat more...

I didn't get on particularly well with it but yoga's meant to be very good for flexibility and core strength, which should hopefully help with your back.

Also (and I know this is way, way easier said than done) try not to think about how much weight you want to lose overall. I tend to find that it makes it too daunting a task and then I can't find the courage to start and end up putting on more weight. By breaking it down into smaller goals I find it easier to stick to and find it more rewarding as I'm reaching targets rather than seeing only how far I've still got to go.

Penguin reply about eating, weight, etc.
Would definitely agree about not getting too focussed on the overall figure, it just becomes a big scary number then. The times when I have successfully lost weight have been the times when my goals have been things like "go to the gym twice a week", "go for a walk every other night", "eat a nice healthy meal every weekday". Just changing your mindset to a more positive one can work wonders (not "I must lose x amount of weight or I'm a failure", but more along the lines of "try and do some fun healthy things this week").

It's so tough to get your head in the right place to start with though - as I know only too well having completely slipped back into old habits and put the 2 stone I lost right back on.
I can remember how much better I felt - not just physically (although that was part of it), but mostly mentally. I felt so much better for meeting those little targets, and for setting positive targets in the first place. If anything, the weight loss was more of an added bonus at the time.

It's very annoying to me now that I can remember how good I felt, I can fully appreciate the benefits, but I just cannot get my head in that place again. Oh well, it will come.
    End penguin.

Calley - cba penguining but for your back, you'd be better with pilates as the focus is on core strength.
