It was magnolia rather than white. We would have preferred white, but the two houses did look nice matching and it saved us doing it, so we just accepted it. Those houses are still both that colour 20 years later, although we have sold ours.

Could have been worse I suppose! I still wouldn't have been able to keep my trap shut though and would have made him aware that you just don't go around doing things like that as it's making a decision for someone.

I had a mammogram a couple of months ago :)

Sorry! That's not a reason! A lot can happen in two months!

I had examined mine 3 or 4 weeks before I found the lump, and hadn't felt anything untoward!

So, (nag nag) pleeeeze go do it!

Thank you Pyxis. Funny how seeing a tick next to you name makes you feel special and important :rotfl:

Well my lovelies, sleep pattern all over the place again. not helped by an unplanned sleep over at Lego mans on friday. Not use to sleeping with another body in the bed.

And tomorrow husband has a 8.40am appointment at hospital 25 miles away :j so got to get early. Don't like driving in the town its based in. Have a disabled badge so can park on double yellows. But I am always convinced I am going to get towed :rotfl:So going to use the park and ride. As thats free as husband has a bus pass.

With an early appointment I hope they are not running late.

Life is bobbling along like it does. And lego man is working away when its my birthday :( but he said we can spend the sunday before it together. I mentioned in passing about my birthday as its soon. And said I am not fishing for a present. He said I am allowed to get you a present. I said if you want but nothing expensive.

Reminds me I need to sort out a present for my brother. He likes 7up and jaffa cakes. So might get him some of them and lynx stuff and put it in a box so it looks nice. Where can I get an empty ream box from?

Not sure about bothering with my dads birthday. Still not really spoken to him since I got annoyed with him.

Hugs and squishes and hand shakes. And a special shout out to everyone who is MIA. Hope you are fine and just busy. Take care.

    Yours

    Calley

  • I check for lumps every 2 weeks which is what the doctor who taught me how to do it told me to do. Remember to check under your arms too because lumps can appear there in the lymph nodes without being on the breasts themselves. Lumpy lymph nodes can also indicate other illnesses so its good to check.

    Hey all.

Amazon has ream boxes, calley but they only seem to sell them in bulk.

I found this place that sells them in singles but I can't vouch that the company is legit - http://www.firstforpaper.co.uk/printers-boxes/BXR-BA4.1.html?gclid=Cj0KEQjw5Ie8BRCJ9fHlr_bH24cBEiQAkoDQcRObvsxtu2YPMCnQE7tIaQs63ewZTu51tDGyJeFcGXYaAncw8P8HAQ

Shame that Lego man can't be around for your birthday but it's nice he's making plans to spend time with you before it :)

I've been absolutely shattered today. Had a very late night with E watching movies and then mum was up and about earlier than normal, though E was nice enough to make us all a coffee this morning.

Been working on my city tonight while suffering through the most tedious football final in a long time.

For anyone interested, here's the extent of its sprawl at the moment. Still quite a lot more to do to fill it all up (there's a lot of space off screen to build more!)...

  • That's so pretty, Lambyr! You have done loads. How on earth do you keep it all working when it's that big? I'd have power outages and riots and all sorts!

I am using a couple of mods to make things a tad easier so I can concentrate on the building side.

It doesn't all run perfectly though. My rail network gets a little backed up sometimes and there's too many buses on the road! I also have the near-constant moaning of the industrial areas that they don't have enough customers (I think they're just lazy!). I have a habit of forgetting to put in bus routes (you have to actually plan each route in this game, not just stick bus stops down and let the game sort it out).

Traffic is a problem in some places too.

But I have found that the older areas tend to "settle" after a while. They don't get crime waves, death waves or garbage problems the way some of the newer areas do so it's a bit easier to just let them get on with it.
