Code things I'd tell my 18-year old self....

    # However bad you are feeling, it will get better!

    # However much you thought he was the one, that you would never find better, that you will never get over, he wasn't, you will, and you will! I promise!

MessedUp, your tip about not neglecting your friends when you have a boyfriend is an excellent tip!

That's strange, because I have seen it on some drug notes.

In that case, perhaps you should tell your GP and pharmacist and ask them to report it.

    From WiKi.....grapefruit/drug interactions.....
"This happens in two ways. One is that grapefruit can block an enzyme which metabolizes medication.[2] If the drug is not metabolized, then the level of the drug in the blood can become too high leading to an adverse effect.[2] The other effect is that grapefruit can block the absorption of drugs in the intestine.[2] If the drug is not absorbed, then not enough of it is in the blood to have a therapeutic effect.[2

One whole grapefruit, or a glass of 200 mL (6.8 US fl oz) of grapefruit juice can cause drug overdose toxicity.[13][14]"

    For the full details.......
    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grapefruit–drug_interactions

Just checked the leaflet that comes with them again, haven't done so for years, and now it does actually mention grapefruit, but it never used to. Then again, I have been on them a long time, so they maybe didn't know about that back then?

So yeah, I love grapefruit but can't have it :(

This might make you feel better about it.......

"The effect of grapefruit juice with regard to drug absorption was originally discovered in 1989. The first published report on grapefruit drug interactions was in 1991 in the Lancet entitled "Interactions of Citrus Juices with Felodipine and Nifedipine," and was the first reported food-drug interaction clinically. However, the effect only became well-publicized after being responsible for a number of bad interactions with medication.[10]"

It's a salutary lesson, though, so thank you for bringing it to our attention.......that it doesn't matter how long someone has been taking a medicine for, new discoveries and interactions can mean that the instructions can change, so it is just as well to re-read the notes every so often.
I shall now re-read my inhaler notes, as I've been using one forever! :D

It's bad that it doesn't mention it MU. I'm not sure it mentions it on all my Mam's medication either, and she had to avoid it too. She used to have one every morning for breakfast!

What an idiot your housemate is.... When he goes to hang his second lot of shirts up, go and out your stuff in!

Which inhaler do you use Pyxis? I really should use my brown one more so I don't need to use my blue one as much, but I don't :o

D is new fangled with his new toy, he's just got a new garmin fitbit thingy....he keeps on checking his "steps", which of course go up by moving his arm about!

Wasn't he supposed to be leaving, a while back?

Georgie, Yes, I use two, one is a preventer which I use twice a day regardless, Symbicort, and one is the reliever, Ventolin, which I use if I feel wheezy in between. I'm using the ventolin a bit more than usual at the moment, mainly, I think, because I've not been doing the Zumba, so everything's got sluggish.

I'm meant to use a brown one beginning with a B I think? I'll have to learn how to use that spacer properly, as when I use it on it's own, it makes my mouth sore. So, I don't use it and just rely on my blue ones, which I'm getting through faster than I should, and so I've been called for an asthma review Oopps!

    Becotide?

If so, yes it's a steroid preventer. ?prednisolone perhaps?
If it's making your mouth sore, it could be the way you use it, or you could try rinsing out your mouth after using it. Maybe try using it just before cleaning your teeth?

    JM...busty substances! Hahahahahahahahahah!
Oh yes, have deffo heard of Derek and Clive! Used to watch Not Only But Also all the time!
