No CML sign off today, building site manager said it'll be sometime next week but nothing more rigid than that!

24th now looks out of the window, mid week move the following week looking more like, slightly annoying but I'm not rushing them as I don't want jobs done half hearted just to get them finished!

Hopefully you will be in by the end of the month Lee111s!
The roof and all windows have been in for about a week now on my apartment building. They are going to let me know when the services are switched on and confirm a month window of when it will all be ready. Out of interest, once people had their services switched on, how long did they have to wait to complete?
They still are aiming for 23rd Dec for completion ... I'm praying it happens as it fits in nicely with time off work/christmas etc
  • I've no idea when our services, etc were connected! In August we were told we would complete on 28th October and we just did, we never really needed to know when every bit was done or connected. We just had a few tours in between time really.

Ohh we're not allowed on the site at all for tours whilst it's all being built, the only chance we get is for our 'demonstration' tour which is 2 weeks before completion. So they give us email updates at key stages, like when the roof goes on, when services are on etc. Bit annoying we can't really get close enough to see the inside.

Ah ok, we never got updates. We just had a pre-plaster tour, then a bit later they said it's plastered and painted if you fancy a little look around, so we went along. Then when we had our carpets fitted we went in to check them, etc. Then my oh asked for the key one day to check some stuff, then we had a home tour. But I don't think we ever got updates as we were told early on 28th October so always just prepared for that.

I wish I could see inside! I have no idea how much of the inside they've done so far. Can't even get close enough to sneak a look through the windows :(
They have some sort of generator on all night (sounds like it anyway) making a loud fan type noise, and some lights on in the stairwell of the building, that's about all you can hear and see.
  • We're still waiting for our window to show up!

We were told on Saturday their target is to sign off the house on 2nd December which will mean we complete the first week in January (mortgage offer expires on the 9th) which is fine, we have no issue with that.

My boyfriend went down there the other day and there are people living in our street and our house now has the housing for the bay window, just no actual window frames.

Definitely the most stressful experience of my life so far and it's not done and dusted just yet :p

Fingers crossed for you lee111s :)

We visited yesterday and tiling is all done, back garden wall is built, just needs gate. Garage is done complete with door, bathrooms are all tiled and installed apart from one shower and walls are all painted. Ceramic flooring throughout ground floor has started to be laid so I think we are pretty much there for our completion date of 16th December at the moment :D
