I'm finding sanity in everyone else stories! Time is going sooo slowly!
We had a sneak peak at ours last weekend, they leave the door open so we can look through the fence into our hallway and assess what's been done. we now have radiators and plug sockets, but can't see into the kitchen/bathrooms. How are you guys getting this info on what's been done or what's left to do?
We have been given an initial completion date of 23rd December. But the lady who works in the sales centre said that 8houses and 28 flats have all been given that date so she's hoping they bring some forward.
Thanks for everyone's replies it really has made the whole process so much easier knowing what to expect.0 -

Regular contact with the sales girls and the building site manager gave me his personal number when we had out first site visit a month or so back. Speaking with him helps avoid loads of red tape0 -
Hi everyone, I've been reading everyone's story's for
Last few weeks now and it's making me really excited.
I'm buying a new build 3bed detached in the highlands with a small local house builder and finding it extremely easy and stress less. (Except for the price of extras)
hopefully get the keys on the 16th Dec and it's looking as it will happen
I extended my long driveway 11m, an extra space wide at the beginning of it, at a cost of £1320 for lock lock. Does this sound reasonable?0 -
Spoke to the building site manager again today, CML sign off is planned for Friday (wooohooo) They're happy for my carpet fitter to go in next Monday to measure up. Fingers crossed all goes ahead on Friday and if so we'll be completing on 24/11/16 which is perfect for us and our buyers (just before the weekend and less accrued interest for the first mortgage payment)0

I am about a month away from completion on a new build leasehold house and then I read this bombshell article.
https://www.theguardian.com/money/2016/nov/05/ground-rent-scandal-engulfing-new-home-buyers-leasehold
I've decided to commence the pull out process. Will cost a few grand but still preferable to having a unsaleable home.0
