@mleach101, good stuff, would you recommend getting a survey done? Are they expensive? We haven't got noticed anything obvious with ours but I don't know if it would be worth getting a second opinion.
No sign of FTTH for us. I would LOVE it if we could get it but BT is currently estimating that the best we can get is going to be 9Mb, our friends on the same development top out at less than 2mb. I hate BT and their monopoly.
I turned down an estate with 3mb, couldn't face it, been a virgin media customer for 12 years. Will continue to be fortunately with the new home too0 -

TBH, I'd have been happy with Infinity and was all set to transfer my Plus Net account over, unfortunately they're unable to provision FTTP. The biggest issue is the lack of info on my options which is probably mostly due to being out of the UK but not helped that the property doesn't appear on most of the line check databases.
What it does mean though is that I'm more annoyed about the fact I couldn't get the builder to pull in cat-6 cable for me.0 -
When I asked TW about installing network sockets in a couple of the rooms they looked at me like a crazy person, their response of "why don't you just use wifi?" made my eyes almost roll out of my head.
Virgin are actually only a couple of streets away from us, but since its a brand new development I can see them wanting to wait until the whole lot is finished before they start installing anything.0 -

Ours has had Virgin wired from the outset, infact they are both wired in now ready for move in.
It was a huge selling point for me at our small development.0 -

Yeah, I asked about getting network points installed, or cat 5/6 cable ran into a few places, they're wern't interested in entertaining the idea. Looks like I'll have to chew into the brand new walls to run in cables soon after moving in instead.0 -
Our house has just been signed off, we can move in on the 22nd of August. Lots of work ahead to get the flooring done through carpet right. Hoping we don't have too many snags.
Excited! :beer:0 -
Hi everyone!
Just wondering if anyone has had there build brought forward?
Our original completion date was for Jan 2017. This was then brought forward to the 30th of November. Basically the property should be finished in October but due to access we couldn't move until other properties are further ahead. We have moved in with family while it is being built and I am in complete countdown! Can't wait until we are in, doing a site visit on Friday so fingers crossed the inside is taking shape.0 -
We're due to complete this Friday and get the keys. They have been working round the clock to get it done - nothing like a contracted completion date and a careful worded email with all the issues to the powers that be to see a job sorted out0

We've exchanged today!!!!0

Congrats to those who've exchanged and completed! Guess its the season for it because apparently we just have wait for checks to be done on ours too. Hopefully it won't throw up any major problems.
@Babybell86, I don't think its unheard of but ours is nearly 3 months late and I know there are others who have been waiting for well over a year. All the builders seems to be terrible at giving dates so take whatever they say with a massive pinch of salt.0
