Why have a cat if you never let it in your house???
Coming from a person who has cats (hence my icon) could your neighbour actually have a cat flap??? Therefore they're not actually controlling when they let them in the house.
I have 2 cats and have a cat flap on my back door, i did this so they're free to go and come when ever they want. My neighbours might think i never let mine inside, but at this very moment, 1 is out and 1 is in.
I see your point about why should you pick up cat poo when you don't have a cat (im agreeing with you, you shouldn't) but should us cat owners follow our cats around picking up poo after them???
It's hard for cat owners as well, as we can't offer any help to any persons garden our cats may visit. We can't control where our cats go and obviously unless you wanna stand at a window all day taking photos of evidence, your not gonna prove whos cat is pooping in your garden.
Could you maybe get one of those cat ornaments, i think they're black and they're mean't to scare cats off. Cats very rarely enter someones garden if they have a cat as well. Mine definately don't go next door cos they have a cat and the cat ornaments i have see are life like size.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -
Buy your son a 'super soaker' and offer a reward every time he gets a cat with a full squirt of water.0

I absolutely HATE cats esp when they crap in my garden   and I've tried several things but short of actually putting poison down or electrifying the hedgethey still keep using my veg beds as a toilet.
And why in god's name can't owners clear up after them?
dog owners carry pooper scoopers - why not cat owners.
If I knew whose cats they were, I'd take it to them and tip it on their lawns/flower beds!
It makes me sooooo mad.

We had a problem with cats pooing in our front garden, I stopped them by sprinkeling (spelling!!) my urnine over the garden. (only time in my life I had a pot to p1ss in, LOL LOL LOL)
This was suitable as its all shingled so nothing to damage. Apparentley Male urine stops them using it as a litter tray. And Female Urine is good for killing weeds (quite acidic apparently)."Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. But I think I got a better one. How about I give you the finger, and you give me my phone call"

No, but you could supply and train your damn cat to use a litter tray. The cat that dollops in my garden is nothing to do with me... but it's still my problem. Given a choice I'd have any cat that dollops on my garden put down.0 -
First post so do be gentle! :rotfl:
I'm not against cats but hate cleaning up somones cats' poop. I have seen people out with cats on harnesses walking them, good idea. Dog owners have to clear up after their pets.
With regards keeping them out of my garden the best thing I have found are moth balls! I cannot believe how well they work. I used to be plagued by the blooming things and it's horrible putting your hand in a pile of it while weeding the garden
So scatter a good few moth balls round and that should do the trick. Granted they don't smell too sweet but surely anything is sweeter that cat muck.
Hope that helps0 -

So you hate cats and......i don't care for birds that much popping on my windows or car, so should i stand with a gun and kill the poor things....ummm no.
How on earth is it possible for cat owners to carry popper scoopers???? Incase your unware cats aren't taken for walks, unlike dogs, so yes dog owners carry a popper scopper (dog owner as well).
How do you expect me to clean up after my cats, follow them 24-7 and look like a stalker in the meantime leaping over peoples fence.....hmmm so you'd rather a strange in your garden saying 'sorry just picking up my cats poo'
I get it makes you mad and i honestly would get my cats to poop in my garden if such a thing existed to make them.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -
You cannot seriously compare birds pooping on your cars/windows with cat crap in your veg beds!!
For one thing, you actually CHOOSE to own one - and another is the serious threat of disease they carry esp to pregnant women.
As a previous poster said, why not train them to use a litter tray?
But then, you'd have to clear it up - not the rest of us!!!!When I married 'Mr Right', nobody told me his first name was 'Always'. ::rotfl:0 -

Unless you have an indoor cat a cat that is allowed outside will NOT use a litter tray id imagine. My cats were trained to use a litter tray when they were kittens, but i didn't want house cats, i don't see the point, you wouldn't keep a dog inside 24-7 so why a cat????
So hence they're outside/inside cats and will not use a litter tray anymore. Besides you'd rather me pollute the environment even more and buy that horrid kitty litter.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160
