All sorts of ultrasonic deterrents on Ebay, that's where we got ours.0

catapults are cheaper option, stones are free..0 -
Yes, but the sonic things are so annoying. It drives me nuts if I am in the garden - both our neighbours have one - one gave up on theirs now - and it does make me chuckle when I see the cats sitting next to them!! I am not sure if everyone can hear them but it is not pleasant for adults around you, when you have the windows open in the summer all you can hear is the constant screeching of the damn things!! Drives me insane!!0

Here..for winners..
What you can do, is get some garden peas, freeze them and use them. If you keep hitting it, eventually it will learn..or die..0 -
Ultrasonic deterrents shouldn't be audible to humans, are you supersenstive to high pitched noises?0

I have the same problem with next doors 2 cats. I can't offer any advice other then I gain great satisfaction getting the trowl out and flinging the s*** back next door where it came from (whilst my neighbour is out of course ).0

I am not sure, maybe, but my friend can hear it too as she said 'what is that noise' so can my husband.Maybe they have it set up wrong and I cannot understand why it would not drive them nuts too. The neighbours used to have one in the front and one in the back garden next door - they did not last long before they removed them but over the road has one and he seems to have it positioned in front of a bush as it goes off all day. Its OK in the winter but when the weather is warmer the windows in the house are open and the TV is not on I can hear it all the time and it drives me up the wall.

Yeah, my neighbour used to do this too - against my front door, bin, cars, in the middle of the path or doorstep. I would come home from work and find it. It could have been any one of the 15 or so cats that used to visit the area but I was nearest with a cat so it HAD to be mine and I bore the brunt of getting it chucked into my garden. I was pregnant at the time and also, my elderly cat was not even able to get into her garden to poop as she was unable to get over/under gates or fences. I called the council and the police to record what had happened and they both informed me they could have them done for harrassment. I sent a strongly worded letter instead and have had no problems ever since and they have spoken to us fine since them. I also bought them some 'get off my garden' as a goodwill gesture and in saying they should try it.
Remember, cats stray a long way so it might not even be your neighbours cats poop. We have cats that come from god knows where as they are not local, toms will stray for miles in search of females - and as most owners get them done now they have further to walk, LOL!! But, you can get in trouble for doing that so you might want to bear this in mind before you start chucking it 'back' and get on the wrong side of your neighbours. It'll look good if trying to sell your house in that you had a dispute over you throwing cat poop at your neighbours house!
Oh yes, I did catch my neighbour 'in the act' though.0 -
Totally OT post and not a criticism, but just wondering...
Whilst the filter stops the !!!!!!!! word on the thread, it still apears on the title on the main board. Just wondering why there are filters on threads but not on the titles?
Sorry for going OT:)0 -
I thought that too, LOL!!0
