The bloody cat from next door (I think) keeps !!!!!! in my garden. This has been going on for year presumably. We have covered the garden in rocks with just enough room for the plants to grow through and the cat even digs them up! Or poos on top of them! Now, I love animals but this is getting ridiculous! Please can somebody give me some ideas to get rid of this bloody cat. It is driving me crazy! I have tried cat pellets which they are meant to hate but it virtually rolls around in them purring.........2022 Comp total (prizes + free spins): £494.81 #20 £12 a day Jan: £382.95/£372 #57 360 1p challenge: £17.70 £10 a day Feb: £571.09/£280 March: £311.96/£3100

We found an ultrasonic cat deterrant very effective in our front garden. The daily dollops of poo have completely ceased, it took about a week for the message to sink in. (And about as long for the stench to fade from the hall carpet). We now have an ultrasonic dog bark device in the back garden to try and shut the neighbours dog up. It has certainly reduced the amount of time the dog barks for, but it's so thick it still reacts to the slightest noise. Personally I favour a shotgun but......0

I'm not sure that the repellants you can buy are worth it tbh, the best thing I can suggest is a water gun (rather than a shot gun
) one of those pump action ones that you get a good distance with should do it, then everytime you spot a cat in the garden (pooping or not) give it a squirt, it will soon get the message and wont bother you again

I used to work on a pet stall and the owner always used to tell people to buy something called 'Get Off My Garden'. I think it's a spray. I've never used it but he said it worked.Sealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked0

Ohhhhhh mothballs sound good. They problem with this evil cat is that it does it at night. We have managed to squirt it a couple of times but it tends to do it really late- not that i'm adverse to running round the garden hissing and chucking water at 3 am! Little !!!!!!!! where would I get an ultrasonic cat deterrent? Are they expensive?2022 Comp total (prizes + free spins): £494.81 #20 £12 a day Jan: £382.95/£372 #57 360 1p challenge: £17.70 £10 a day Feb: £571.09/£280 March: £311.96/£3100

There's a plant called Coleus cannis means something like "p1ss off cats" or something like that. Its supposed to have a smell that cats don't like and can keep them away. Not sure if it works though.2012 Mortgage Free Wannabe # 69Opening mortgage £126,000 19/05/00Ended 2011 £31,019:j£0.00 07/12/2012 :jNever put socks in a toaster.0

I have the same problem. Although I'm reasonably tolerant as I have a cat myself, we do seem to now providing toilet facilities for all the neighbourhood moggies. Probably because it's the only garden around that isn't all lawn, decking and concrete. I have heard that coffee grounds work as cats don't like the smell, and am going to try that. Only thing is I believe too much can change the acidity of the soil. So I might try stale coffee beans instead. And I will focus on keeping cats off the veg patch and live with poo in the flower borders.0

Try coffee grounds or borrow a friends dog to scent and bark at the cat that might put it off coming in your garden.0

Orange peel also works, but you need to refresh the peel about every 2-3 days.
Allegedly tinfoil too, but as the cat we had a problem with was crapping on the lawn it was not really practical :rolleyes:0
