We have had a probelm with cats for years in a row of teraced houses back to back there were 17 cats for 12 houses we didnt have one and neither did 3 other houses the cat owners gardens were clear no problems they used the other 4 we have a single story extention witha flt roof and so much activity and their srcatching caused the roof to colapse it was cleared every month it was so bad the owners were happy when we went round asking for the money to replace the roof even though we had photos of all their cats shi**ing on our roof. now we use silent roar (Lion poo) to keep them away we tried the bottles of water, pepper, cirtus fruit peel. We also now throw the shi* back over the gardens of the cat owners after all that is what you do when you prune trees.

Various other methods have reduced the number of cats in the area unintentionally, 1 cat died when it hung itself in a football net, another opened the bag that I threw a chemistry set away in we didnt watch or anything but the way some of the chimicals (1 of which was used in rat poison) was everywhere even on the part eaten chicken we had also thrown away which the cats ate opps. The supersoaker is good and I used to have hours of fun with my radio controled car.

Garlic is meant to deter cats. (if you don't mind the smell - i love it) or lemon.
Accept that some days you're the pigeon and some days you're the statue.
  • Hi calleyw. I too had a problem with cats in my garden, tried all products like you, also large bottles of water, (trick with this is don't fill them up, as it is movement apparently that deters them). I have currently got some old CD's strung across the garden, again it is movement and the fact that are not supposed to like seeing themselves, as they think it is another cat. Fingers crossed they have not been back for at least 5 months now. Only trouble is I can't say which option has actually worked as have tried so many. Good luck, there is nothing worse!
