Naff all done today and I feel frazzled and stressed. Finally cleaned the fish tank this morning after running out of time yesterday, so that's looking much better. Scrubbed all the plastic plants and fake wood, so there's actually lots of lovely colour in the tank instead of just dark algae green.
Did manage a trip to Tesco, but forgot to get bread as I was constantly fighting whingeing requests for this and that by Small and shushing Tiny who was determined to yell the whole way round. I just love half-term.
Was supposed to take the boys to soft play this afternoon but got a phone call from my friend saying not to bother as they couldn't park. Looks like it was rammed and would be hell inside. Cue tears from Small and bribing with jelly babies....sigh...
Hope OldCat is OK Valli and she was just being lazy because of the weather and nothing else. I have a spray from the pet shop that neutralizes the odour if an animal has an accident on the floor and it seems to work...its made by a company called Paragon.
Glad to hear MrLW wasn't hurt in his little bink  I hate driving at night as I get dazzled by the lights too. It's even worse if it's raining.
Bossy - I think you have everyone's support in working to rule. I wonder how they are going to manage when you've left?
Sending virtual hugs procrastinator...I have days like that too...:(
Going to make chicken tikka masala this evening for dinner. DH will probably complain as we had curry (takeaway) on Monday. But that was his choice and I have meal plans to stick to...0 -
Sorry been out all day hugs to all that need them
Nipped over my mums she was having a small op lump removed off her hand so we nipped over to make sure she was ok went with her and settled her back home after - bro is going round tonight.
I rang and got an appt this morning so went before going over to mums. Dr agrees it's prob another cyst I have but to be safe is sending me to hospital to get it checked so I'm on the fast track appt system for that will be seen within two weeks. I said I was sorry if I'm time wasting and he was lovely and said we should always have lumps checked.SPC~12 ot 124

Not my problem
Oh dear, DD just bit her tongue. I think she's ready for bed. I did mop the floor earlier so that's one less thing. We have dentist in the morning then I'm going to sort out my fridge! I've no idea what's in there!
Right. Kiddie bed time routine...Bossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
cheers Honey Bear, I'm hoping that's the case as I was already for binning my blinds
No flying for me today, had a wander around the charity shops got a few books (my bad) and a top... but spent the whole day out, the kitchen isn't too bad as I've been s&s daily!0 -
Mrs-MP glad the doctor was so lovely and that you have been fast tracked just for peace of mind; good he agrees it's probably just a cyst but always wise to be 100% sure isn't it.
LW glad Mr LW is OK - these traffic calming things are a blinking nuisance and add in rain and headlights when you're on a bike then it's no joke.
Procrastinator sorry you struggle with depression - I get that too along with anxiety and OCD. What helps me is just to set teeny targets, doesn't matter how small, and then you get a sense of achievement when you've done what you wanted to do. Feel free to say how you feel on here - everyone is really supportive and lovely and do understand; we all get hard times sometimes.
Ended up going to the Arboretum as my friend's son was so excited to see Whiz that he was up and ready to go at 8am! It did rain but not really heavily and we had a nice walk. My step tracker is telling me I've done almost 7.5 miles today so no wonder I feel tired. Just had a lovely warm shower and in PJs with cardigan so cosy and snug. Going to get S to bed, I've frog marched Z into the shower and stripped and re-made her bed so all fresh and clean for her. Plan for tonight - knitting of course!!Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
I have scrubbed two little faces of face paint:DBossymoo

Procrastinator I have just the thing for your nasty BD - a blackthorn branch that the wind took off the hedge the other day.
Ready BD?...... GO FETCH *throws thorny branch as far as [STRIKE]humanly[/STRIKE] lupinely possible*
T£sco run done and ££ spent. New washer dryer ordered and £££ spent - ours is making increasingly weird noises (a new noise added today) and "walks" further and further out of it's alcove every time it's used, so Mr LW reckons we should replace it before it expires completely, because I'm just not able to do all the washing by hand any more. It's eleven years old, and has done a lot of work in that time, so we can't really complain.
I've chosen March 1st as delivery date, as I'll be dogless that day and do not have any other commitments. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Hi everyone, sending hugs & good vibes to you all.
I've been working again today so just the usual make beds, feed people, do dishes, clean garden stuff or me today.0 -
Glad Mr LW ok and great Mrs MP
Trying not to flap now (and convinced previously mentioned Thai meal had wheat in, as that always puts me on a downer). Didn't get entirely through my own list as I ran out of time.
Assessment today went ok but very long and complex so will take ages to write up.
Man I assessed on Mon wants some tuition (good news) which meant looking through a long essay he'd failed and listing topics for potential lesson (long process). Want to write his assessment up next but I have 3 others before him in the queue and today's (and tomorrow's). So panicking about workload.
In a frantic panic, emailed all students I haven't seen for a while to make the most of the last remaining work of that type before the new regs kick in. Now they are replying and wanting lessons (good news) but that means more work to schedule (bad news). Oh there's no pleasing me, just ignore this rant.
Mr N dropped in to see his mum and she'd had a fall getting out of the bath. Seems just bruising and she won't let him get the doctor. Within the last year we got a social service person or whoever to come and see if she was eligible for a walk in shower (it's a housing association property) as her bath is quite high, she is less agile at 86 than she used to be. They said no, she should get one of those little steps to use to get in and out of bath. Ridiculous - she could easily fall off one of those. So tomorrow Mr N needs to contact them again. And we need to start thinking what next, as sadly she is getting very....mentally not alert and can't remember the name of things (like today was 'that little room' when she meant the kitchen). It's all very sad. she is fiercely independent and doesn't like people doing things for her.
Sorry this forum is not for me to blog on. I have done a bit of flying but won't list it now, need to crack on with report and organising for tomorrow. Forecast snow. It was splatty rain earlier, almost sleet.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0
