Morning all, lost track. Welcome home to Frizzling
Most of house pretty ok having had the friends to stay, tho their lovely whippet had an accident in the hall which (very mortified) friends were frantically mopping when I got up. Have sprayed with carpet foam so no worries.
WM on.
Floordrobe picked up.
Today's list is mostly work:
finish A's report
organise paperwork for today and tomorrow's assessments
ring car insurance company to amend quote hopefully
change utilities supplier when Mr N gets home
2 important emails to reply to.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
After stressing because I couldn't find some key information I had written in a safe place, to go with some data attached to an email to allow me to upload it I opened the email and found I had efficiently emailed it to myself. :rotfl:
Today I need to check my passwords for here and FB so I can use my i pad (or should that be Ionafan pad - dontcha love 'psychic' algorithms that 'think' they know what you're going to type? (if you're still puzzled see #86)) when I am in the Deep South (of the East Midlands :rotfl:) this weekend and keep up with you all and attempt to thrash my cousin at Scrabble!
I have mopped up cat wee - she is perfectly capable of going out but got lazy yesterday and has added to it today (think the cold put her off) it's on carpet - whiff removal/deterrent advice much appreciated. At the moment I am swabbing with citrussy fragranced stuff.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Ah, Valli, cats peeing indoors. Never a good sign. The best advice I've come across is to put a litter tray exactly where they're peeing, make a vet appointment and take a urine sample with you, which is easy to say and tricky to get. The only solution I found was:
Get a scrupulously clean litter tray (I bought a 99p one that doubles as our 'spare').
Put a thin layer of fish gravel in the bottom - it feels and sounds like cat litter.
Let the cat pee in it.
Scoop up the pee into a sterilized pot and chuck out the gravel - no matter how many times you wash it you'll never get the pong out.
If they suddenly start peeing indoors it's usually because they have a urine infection or they're too frightened of another neighbourhood cat. They feel very vulnerable when they're crouching outside.
For dealing with the niffs, biological liquids would get rid of them as far as we're concerned, but sadly smell just as though they're the right place to pee to a cat. Best solution I've found is washing with carpet washing liquid (I use Bi$$el's) very, very diluted, followed by drying by stomping on a towel all over the affected patch and when it's completely dry - good old bicarbonate of soda.Better is good enough.0 -

This week's gone downhill rapidly; Mr LW had an accident on the way home last night. Thankfully he's unscathed. An oncoming driver's headlights dazzled him as he was entering one of those beastly "traffic calming" chicane things on the way home from work, he clipped the island with the front wheel, and burst the tyre. So I got a call saying he'd be in when the RAC rescued him!
So I'm afraid today is a washout. Thus far I've done a WM load of Mr LW's clothes, walked Millie via the post box (two jobs in one, and gets me out of going out alone) and played with her tennis ball in the garden - this entails me sitting on a chair on the patio and hitting the ball down the garden with a tennis racket, and her bringing it back. Repeat til dog is cream crackered!:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

She's been outside now.
(I did complain and tell her what she was doing was wrong:rotfl:)
It's the old cat. What she used to do (if she was desperate) was use the coir doormat (this was in pre-catflap days) but that was flung. Where she has 'gone' was where the Christmas tree was and where she left me a presentwhen she was trapped in the room so she could probably smell something I couldn't IYSWIM

Afternoon all.
Sorry I've not remembered anything that I've read. So hugs, sticks, spoons, vibes and Yays to all.
I overslept this morning and just made it to the dentists in time for our appointments. DD had no problems again, whereas I needed another filling in one of my back teeth & the back of my front teeth cleaning again (seems to be a recurring issue with my teeth no matter how I clean them!). I had some local anaesthetic and now I'm feeling very very sleepy. Not sure if it's the lack of caffeine in my system as I only got a mouth full of coffee with my breakfast or the anaesthetic. Either way I'm going to go to bed for a nap when I've posted this. The spelling mistakes I'm making and having to correct tells me it wouldn't be a good idea to try and work right now
We've been to Mr A and spent £38 despite my list only being milk, bread, vinegar and flour. We got chocolate, crisps and huge YS pizzas for tea....can you tell I was hungry?
:o DD has washed the dishes, and there's a wash load in the machine atm but its on a proper long cycle in an attempt to get tomato stains out of my hoodies.
Not quite sure what the rest of the day will bring, but I know laundry and dealing with work are definitely in there. Frogs might not get munched this half term after all as we're taking stuff to the charity shop tomorrow and then running a couple of errands in town. But there's always Easter holidays or a weekend when we're not busy.
Right, I'm off to see if an hours sleep makes me feel any better. :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Thanks folks. I have done no more than my allotted hours this week - I have logged off the lappy and switched off the blackberry too - unheard of!
So I'm finished for the weekphew!
Just having a cuppa and catching up on a few bits online before I go get the wee ones in an hour or so.
Last night I had the urge to go up in the loft for my holiday clothes. So I had a sort and got rid of a fair sized pile of stuff that was looking tired or just makes me look like a git :rotfl: no idea what possessed me at that time of night, but, you know, strike while the iron is hot!
I really need to mop my floors. Shall I do it now? I could mop myself into here and finish my tea while it dries... Off I go!Bossymoo
