Mumto5 - sounds like an excellent strategy re the paid help/rent increase. Working kids learning a life lesson there!
Been to help a friend this morning but not until I had pegged out the 2 washloads - sheets/pillowcase, and towels/dusters/cleaning cloths. All drying beautifully.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
Serves me right for speed reading pigpen I thought you were giving way too much info on what part of your body you were washing in that last post LOL
Probs cos I've had things on my mind while waiting for the phone consult, I need to ring and book an appt tomorrow as he can't possibly diagnose that over the phone, me could have all told the receptionist that last week!!!!
Mending pile is cleared and loads of wips finished off. Watched apocalypse now so that can be given away now - we've had it for years but never got round to watching it so 1cm of the DVD shelves cleared
Going to have a cuppa and do a bit of knitting now I have another beard on one set of needles and a pullover for DGS on the others. Decisions decisions.SPC~12 ot 124

:rotfl:
But why are you knitting a beard, mrs-mp? Are you going somewhere in disguise?
Hope you get your appt sorted and worries allayed.
Hrmph! to SW weigh-in - last week I lost 2.5 lb, this week I had put back 1.5 lb, even though I felt slimmer and could zip up my coat more easily  To rub even more salt in the wound, DH lost 4 lb this week. He has at last realised that he is wrong to think that "a little bit of this won't hurt"
I have cooked a fry-up for lunch, WUDUPA the frying pan and started the DW. Just going out for a walk and to deliver a letter on the way, then I want to tidy the front garden, go to the CS and take the bags of garden rubbish to the tip.0 -
Lol, the beards not for me the school asked me to knit some as props for the upcoming play.
Thanks, I need to ring tomorrow and hope I'm in the first 20 calls as there are that many appts released each morning, dr said keep tryin and try again the next day if I'm not lucky. The system will get better soon he insists.SPC~12 ot 124

Thanks for thr half-term thread Natty.
I've got the week off and am not back to work until Sunday.
I'm flying off list today. Decluttering DD2's bedroom. We are working together and have made good progress.
Food shopping has been delivered and the WM has been on the go since 7am.
Like Dizzy imp the fish tank has been cleaned out.
I've come to the conclusion that I need paid help in the house. I'm working full time hours with the travelling and nobody has lifted a finger to help. I have discussed it with DH and we have informed the 3 working adult children that their rent is increasing to pay for it. Talk about lead balloons! She starts next week hence the declutter mission.
I hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine today.
Sounds like an excellent plan to me; you can't do everything.Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -

Just fetched the car - £220  but could have been a lot worse I know. Our bedroom looks lovely now - I decided that needed doing more than the bathrooms which are OK (did on the weekend). I've felt quite productive today and made a phone call I've been putting off doing. Thinking I might be very lazy and get a Dominos for tea tonight or is that too naughty do you think?!
MrsM-P I wondered what the beards was for too and wondered if you'd done a typo! I hope you get in to see the GP tomorrow; it will put your mind at rest to be seen won't it.
Ionafan hmmmm to SW. Hope you enjoyed your time in the garden - it's really lovely outside and I'm sure a bit of sunshine does the world of good.
Time for school run. I'll be in S's good books as done the envelope he wants to send for the Star Wars competition and remembered a snack for him :A. Won't last long I know but I'll enjoy it whilst it lasts.Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
